Unfortunately for the ever-increasing witchhunt, people who were actually there and saw the whole thing have said that the kid never had the boot, nor was he punched by anyone.

If you watch the actual video you can see he wasn't punched. He have been knocked in the scrum but it would have been purely accidental and it is obvious noone realised he was hurt.

Sorry to piss on your chips.

Got a link to the video then Dan?

Just spoken to Ben, he neither knows or saw the incident happening, however a friend with him saw it all and confirmed the adult hit the child and stole the boot.

I really do hope that maybe Ben speaks with his friend and they both have a word with Shane about this because this is not something we want to see at these meetings.Of course there is banter, emotions run high and things sometimes don`t go to plan but this is not a football match where people get so drunk all they want to do is fight.Let`s just get it sorted NOW!!

To be honest looking at that video, I would have to say that it is unclear if:-

1. Big Man beat Little Boy to the boot by 1/1000th of a second
2. Big Man ripped it out of Little Boy's hands
3. Big Man barged Little Boy out of the way.

or, IMO having been there, seen it and done that they both had a hand on it, Big Man pulled harder than Little Boy who got clocked as Big Man pulls the boot aloft to show the prize he has claimed.

I certainly would not be wishing to string anyone up on the basis of that video, but it certainly does not clear Big Man's name. As said, been there, seen it and done it and what you do is shrug, smile and pass the boot to Little Boy.

Got to agree with Rude Boy.

That video doesn't really show it one way or the other. It cuts across to where the boot ended up too late for a decisive answer.

Just had a look at the video, and by the time the camera cuts to the crowd, it looks as though the bloke already had it in his hand.

What may have happened is that the kid was in the line of fire of a scrum of adults, and one of them whacked against him in the melee for the boot. The poor kid may not have been able to see that the boot was coming in his general direction, due to the height difference. He is clutching his face, he may have received an unintended blow to the head???

Either way it's not behaviour any of those adults should be proud of. I hope the kid is OK and doesn't let this put him off attending any other motorsport events.

I knew the video wouldn't show the 'suspected punch' otherwise there wouldave been screenshots like the one of the blokes face.

Looks to me like the kid got bundled by large blokes into the bike.

Maybe next time he shouldn't throw stuff into the crowd.

This. Very much this, but could you still donate to Mattikake's "ABH donation fund"? I think t's a worthwhile cause.

There is this, but it is a path we do not wish to tread I think. The next thing we know is it will be banned and then no one will win, least of all the little kids that 99% of us blokes would have passed the boot to if there was any question if it was us or the child that got there first!

Can't really see from that, but, there is a bike leant against a wall. Lads head looks about same height as handlebar end. Could be that in the scrum there was a head/bar interface resulting in tears maybe......still wrong to be fighting with a child over the boot though.

You have hit the nail on the head, I was there and about 15 ft from where this happened, I can't say that the kid never got his hand to the boot but as per all the other gear that was thrown into the crowd about ten people jumped for this and in the resulting scrum this kid with his brother got knocked about a bit in the crush. They were then lifted out of the crowd into the starters booth to get them out of the crush.

If they really want to identify the bloke it won't be that difficult as all the people in that area were BSB team guests so one of the teams will know who it is.

I'll get Mattikake to bring both his doses of manliness along. Maybe the rest of the football hooligans will turn up too
