Great result for both really pleased to see the youngsters challenging more. Should be a good 3 races.

As for tyres nothing to do with Dunlop punctures have alwaysed happened teams pushing them on a tough track with sharp curbs.

Just said on ITV4 that BMR have withdrawn from the meeting. They redesigned a fuel rail following the fire but it has shown signs of fatigue.

Full team withdrawal from Subaru, sensible decision right enough but a shame, they looked to be moving in the right direction yesterday.

Definitely the correct call from Scott, but it's a damn shame.

Neal's tyres will turn to jelly if he keeps this pace up

Shame for Moffat, was going well.

All front left tyres going like flies now.

This race is a joke. Pirelli F1 tyres are better than these Dunlops.
And what was Matt Neal playing at, after he punctured he should just let people through until its clear to cut across the track

He had the choice of either turning out of the way of the people who were about to hit him on the right, or accelerating out of the way of the people who were about to hit him from behind, as traction with one flat tyre was very limited. Not a lot he could have done.

Sad way for it to end, proper BTCC entertainment.

I wonder is we'll see less laps for the next two races?

I thought that, nobody has a divine right to just cut across traffic, poor judgement.

Great race up until that point.

Bit of a shambles when the race can't even last 3/4 distance safely. Cracking race until then, gutted for Moffat though.

Same every year with the tyres at Thruxton.

Matt Neal should never have turned right there - he'd missed the chicane so knew people would be on his inside, he should have done his best to get over to the grass on the left as safely as possible. I'm not sure he was checking to see if Josh Cook was ok when he ran over either...

The warmer weather has made the tyre situation worse. Either Dunlop will have to bring more durable tyres next year or the races will have to be even shorter, unless Thruxton's owner's decide to rip up the kerbs.
