George Plasa's old E36 BMW is/was pretty insane. The noise makes it even more so in my ears. Especially at 10 200 rpm.

No idea what this is, but i do know is that it makes glorious noises and leaves thick black rubbery lines on the road.

This is one of the Channel Island sand racers. Normal habitat the Islands' sands or Bouley Bay/Val des Terres hill climbs.6814 by Dave, on Flickr
Some times they fly north and terrorise UK mainlanders.
Went to the other Jersey hillclimb a few years before that during the motor festival.
Sigh... can’t wait to get back out to events!

Always enjoyed watching the Noble RSR. It’s actually amazing how composed it is.

I’m sure I’ve seen a car that was basically two pods, one on each side between the front and rear wheels. In one side sat the driver, and in the other was the engine. The bit in the middle was just a huge ground effects tunnel. Was raced in the states. I’ll see if I can find it.
That would be Smokey Yunick's 1964 "capsule car", entered for the Indy 500.You wouldn't want to hit the wall in that..

This isn’t the car you’re after, but this is the Italcorse, raced by Taruffi... Gassing Station | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
