Imagine how Capirossi must have felt towards the end of the race: leading his home grand prix in front of a massive crowd but with his tyres going off and one of the greatest riders ever less than a second behind him. He certainly had some guts to push as hard as he did.

I always watch if I find it on and I have the time to watch, as I knwo it'll always be amazing to watch - I knew that Rossi would have had something to prove being at home - but like they said - the Dukes had something to prove too...

I didn't know it would be so bloody exhilerating - I was jumping up and down shouting at the screen - now you don't get that in F1!!!

Amazing riding by Rossi.

Again.

Yup, the racing is consistently better than in F1 and probably better than any sort of car racing. The only problem is I don't feel passionate about the competitors in MotoGP like I do about F1 competitors. Whilst I was watching this years Monaco race my heart was pounding and my teeth were chattering when DC was heading for a podium but I never feel like that about bike racing. I've been watching F1 since I was eight though but only started watching bikes last year so maybe I'll develop a passion for bikes in time.

I think you will once you learn about all the riders. Bike riders have more personality than the latest bunch of boring F1 drivers all in my opinion of course. You would never hear an F1 driver say things to the press like Collin edwards does "Who's **** do I have to suck to get a decent bike"

As for the race fantastic the rest of the season is going t be a belter.

Yes, it's great to see the riders being swamped by fans and doing massive burnouts after winning a race. F1 drivers would probably getting fined by the FIA if they tried somthing similar.

Was a very good race

Nice to see Capirossi and Rossi celebrate a little in the paddock aswell, Capi jumped on Valey and they got rather friendly

Also anybody watching on Eurosport notice Capirossi swear while talking to Mamola? something along the lines of "well i ed the start up..."

Amazing the Duc' is now not the Rocket on the Straights it used to be (The Yam is Awesome now) - but overall it must be better in lap time being much more drive / rideable. And they have there 800 out already do great times!

An is it just me or is Casey Stoney really Fast, over a lap but his breaking is pants compared to the rest of the front guys - he is Soo fast into the corners and speeds past other riders or at least alongside - but then put the anchors on so early they he more often than not doe not make the move stick. Rossi fast everywhere as per Loris.

...I also noticed the throttle was getting rolled wide open coming out of corners letting the T.C handle the rear tyre .... Handy with 250bhp ...
