Now then, 210 + 200 = 350, right. That explains our apparent lack of pace but wasn't the boy flying. Low flying more like.

Tim .. everyone else is talking flywheel figures not wheels figures aswell .. don't forget yuo have about 400bhp at the flywheel (330 ish at wheels)
we had about 140bhp at wheels at end of race ..

Sounds to me like a number of the Class B cars should in fact be Class A

Anything over 350 bhp is Class A as I recall....

I was actually complementing CJ on his excellent race pace and not having a dig but unfortunately I suppose it might not look like that.

However, out of interest, unless you take the engine out of the car and put it on a proper dyno your flywheel figure is surely only guesswork, assuming a particular unquantifiable power loss through the transmission. I have always thought that rolling road "at the wheels bhp" are a more realistic figure, subject to reasonable calibration of the equipment. Then again, I still prefer carbs to injection.

Didn't mean to cause any offence. Sorry. bigmouth

I though the lap times through out the grid were good at mallory, everyone seemed to get a crack on.. you need a well balanced and powerfull car for a good time there, not to mention Balls of steel hehe

I was a bit dissapointed to miss cracking 50 seconds by 0.019 of a second though...

Tim How bad was the BBQ in your car?[/quote]

Which one?

The first caused by the exhaust drooping onto the GP inner wing about 2 feet from the turbo and setting fire to the aforementioned GP or the second one, caused by the front splitter becoming detached after 50 yards and dragging along the ground for 5 laps, inducing great heat into itself before breaking up into numerous small fireballs and attaching themselves to the footwell, not too far from SH's balls.

On the face of it not too much damage to the car but you'd better ask Steve about his bits as I haven't been close enough to check them.

Rgds Tim.
