Er, I'm not a racer! Just a humble spectator and amateur photographer, I'm afraid, who likes to know what's going on before I get to the meetings, hence the enquiry.

Lots of very helpful stuff!!!!!

Thanks Graham. That's incredibly helpful. I'm planning to get the Gin scrutineered and sign on on Friday so Saturday is just about getting out there! It will be my first endurance race so I've got to try to ignore the 'go for it' mind-set and think about the bigger picture!

Anyone know what the crowds were like for this last year? I can't even see the event on the Silverstone website, let alone any publicity so I suspect it will just be friends and families of the teams?

Yep, that's about right, Sarah. And a few of us diehard racefans, of course.

It sounds like it'll be an interesting event. I wish I could go but I'm already booked up for Donington Park this weekend.

I don't think so. We're qualifying Saturday morning and then the 6 hour race starts at 11 so I doubt there's time for anything else!

I'll try not to meet you out on track Keith if you don't mind! But by all means come and say hello when we're in the pits!

OOPS! I may well come along to that then as I don't think I have anything else planned. I must read things more carefully in future!

There's a couple of teams of Locosts this year, including us; "A Swarm of Locosts". What garage we're in evades my memory at the moment but if anyone spots us come and say hi!

Well, it didn't rain, hurrah! Superb day's racing once again with a fantastic array of machinery. Didn't get round to meeting anyone other than Johnnymaestro (hi wavey) as I was rather side-tracked taking some 700-odd photos! eek

Currently working my way through them all. Here's a few of 'From Russia With Love' to be going along with. thumbup

great days racing, thoroughly recommend it to anyone that competes, the team element is fantastic, as is the competition with other similar cars...

Does anyone know if a complete set of lap times is posted anywhere? I've had a look on MST's site and no mention of it at all.

BTW I was racing with team 28 (Caterhams) I was F, the sort of blue and orange nervous looking one! It was my first time and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Only one 'moment' when the rear wheel of a Spitfire (I think) decided it didn't like the car anymore, whilst I was following it through Copse. I had more trouble avoiding the wheel than the car!
