Phil was amazing, little sod just kept going, hope the camera didn't cause the fire as it first looked. Woody and Tim not to sure at the moment but it does look suspect as the car was working ok as Phil was still burying the pedal when he crossed the line!!!
Those cameras were the kiss of death for us last year, each race that we ran with one on the car somethng untoward happened. Damm Mr Hay's cameras !!!

This is quite difficult for me to admit, but no:5 today proved beyond any doubt that not only is he a superb Tuscan driver, he is also a gentleman and a great sport. It has been a privilege to share the same track with this man, and I hope to be able to repeat this experience many times in the future in the full knowledge that no matter how close the battles are between us, at no time did I feel that either of us would put the other at risk, over and above the normal level we accept. Wayne my friend, today you were a true champion
no, seriously, I do actually mean it, well done mate.
No:6, As I'm in the mood to give credit where it's due, for a wippersnapper, you didn't do half bad old son, the word impressive comes to mind, but just as quickly as it entered, it departed, on the grounds that too much praise would not be good for you, or indeed for anyone of such tender years. Nevertheless, you rightfully deserve some acknowledgement, so, very fair, very fair indeed!!!!!!!!
Ohh... here we go..... you seem to think that some form of smarty-pants flattery will get you into my good books eh.......
..... bloody right mate... it was the most fun I've EVER had in the car. Not just one race of it but TWO!!
Do you know what..... you're right.. as much as it sickens me to say so, to keep up with ME.. someone who puts in a 1:08, you must be a fantastic driver with an immense amount of ability.
Thanks for a fantastic race mate... we've never driven so close, at such silly speeds, but so safe. Let#s do it again at Brands
It was a pleasure doing business with you Sir..... and oh BTW.. look at the championship standings
Note for No.6.... You'd go even quicker if you remembered the basic rule... Slow in Fast out.. the other way around has different results. Still.. Scooby was safe and that's what counts

James... DO NOT.. I repeat... DO NOT... show pictures of this nature around. Shirts of this type are offensive and far too loud. A total ban has now been placed on all unauthorised attire worn within the Insane Racing awning. ALL future proposals for change of dress code will be subject to a committee hearing where we will discuss it at length and then reject it without hesitation... unless it's the FHM pit girls wearing what's in my mind right noww.. then that's OK.. the Committe agrees whole heartedly don't you.. "YES".. great.. thanks.
A HUGE thanks to Lee, Keith, Steve, Natalie and my Dad (and anyone else that lent a hand) for all their work on No 6 yesterday.
When the car came back from the practice session on the back of the recovery truck I did wonder if my day was over. Thanks to you all it wasn't.
James - thanks for the tyres mate. They were about 400% better than the brand new ones I was using earlier!!!
P.S. For those of you worried about Scooby Doo (No 6's co driver) in the big accident in practice - he was racing this weekend a proper helmet and was thus perfectly ok.

You mean these shirts?
Lee Caroline and Phil Keen now have been issued with these fashionable garments!
Ted, Do you want some with "Pistonheads" on?

Thank you very much Uncle Rodney.
It was a fairly torrid day but ended with an enjoyable Feature Race.
If you have any tips for tricky corners at Brands, please could we discuss them before practice. As opposed to what we did at Combe, which was discuss them whilst leaning on the wreckage of No 6?
Edited to say: If you have any tips on making jury service bearable can we also discuss? Bit weird that you were summoned for this week and I'm up next week. Has the whole Tuscan grid been summoned for Jury service?!

Well, my "shaken" but not "stirred" friend, no:5 has beaten me to it "advice wise" anyway!!! Slow in, fast out, but let me add another little gem, smooth lines lead to fast laps, relax, trust in the "force"
This years Champion?... He may make it at Brands.. but not if he's wearing this outfit.
We had a 'bit' of a laugh in the awning on Sunday night (as usual) and 'carlos' appeared, pretending he was Lee Caroline!
Good luck at Brands mate.. not that you need it :-)

The ones I bought were Medium and Large; however another Pistonhead found this on ebay!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2851778429&category=20066
So there is one that will fit No5 and No29!
