Nice to see someone other than the usual suspects win it. Feel for Munoz, as he's clearly an absolute beast around that track, but you have to love the drama of a rookie winning it on a crazily marginal fuel strategy. I know some people dislike fuel mileage wins, but it's all part of it for me, and you can only applaud Herta for rolling the dice and talking him home. Getting bumped by Haryanto probably isn't going to hurt quite as much now!
Scary crash at Texas. Conor Daly and Josef Newgarden into the wall, with Newgarden turning over and making a second impact cockpit first. Both out of the car under their own power, but Newgarden now receiving attention. Hole punched in the barrier.

Very nasty crash - a testament to modern race car construction that Newgarden even survived that !

Weather at the circuit now doesn't bode well for getting the race restarted anytime soon

Can't help but think that's only going to add weight to the closed cockpit debate. Two cockpit-first impacts with the wall and a wheel narrowly missing hitting the driver. Could've been horrible. Gassing Station | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
