What have the Mod did about rallying on places like Epynt? I'm guessing the same as Forestry England.
The MOD access has always been in part been due in part to the willingness of the ranges (etc) commanding officer.

Unlike the FC there are not many other uses that ranges can be put too. Could hardly have mountain bikers going over the the actual ranges.

I expect we will be going into the ranges at Catterick and Warcop on Rally of the Tests in November. I’ve not heard anything to the contrary. I think the FC’s biggest concern will be spectators, It’s not an issue on MOD land.

Some are saying the FC ban will last until April, unless the social distancing rules are relaxed by government.

I couldn't see Greystoke being used more than about 3 times in a year. As it is to valuable as a testing venue.
I think Greystoke is restricted to a pretty low number of events/test days by planning requirements. In addition M-Sport don't own the forestry anymore so access needs agreed with the owners who can impose "no spectators" regardless of the virus.

The return of UK rallying - sadly, it's likely to be the only forest rally for quite a while, which is even more of a shame there was no livestream provided.

There's some coverage being shown on Thursday at 7pm via M-Sport's Facebook page.

Massive smash for Evans in Estonia. Clipped a tree stump in 6th gear, launching the car into the trees. Crew are ok, but the car is probably a write-off.

I'm slightly jealous seeing all these images around the world of events taking place, and with spectators in attendance. In a normal year, yesterday would have been the Mewla on Epynt, and the coming Saturday would be the Woodpecker near Ludlow. Sadly, Covid-19 has decimated rallying in the UK, more than almost any other motorsport....

To be honest the govt response here has been as much of a disjointed reactive shambles as many other places (with seemingly random contradictory changes of rules and official advice etc), but being a relatively isolated island gave us weeks longer to prepare and having generally low population density helped reduce the spread. The economic fallout has probably only just begun though.

We are allowed to indulge occasionally laugh

A friend has gone to the Mont Blanc Rally this weekend as there's nothing here. He's in the Historics and looking at the entry list there's some quality machines - 10 E30 M3s, 5 911s and a gaggle of Alpines, Quattros, Cosworths, etc thumbup
