From the BTCC Twitter feed...

"PENALTY: Matt Neal has been officially reprimanded and penalised by means of a five-place grid penalty for Round 30 for an incident involving Colin Turkington. His licence has also been endorsed by the addition of three penalty points."

Matt ‘Teflon’ Neal gets away with it yet again. Not sure what penalties they could have given him, starting from the back of the grid and no points for race two sounds better but regardless does not help TURKINGTON.

Much like sentencing in court, there’s a defined list of penalties defined in the Blue Book and some championships add their own point deduction penalties for driving standards.

The 3 points on the licence is driven by the imposition of the time/grid penalty. I assume the 5 place grid penalty is BTCC regulation driven as the standard Blue Book regs would allow for up to a minute to be added to his race time (15 laps of Brands GP is over 30 miles).

Hell of a task to catch and pass Cammish unless someone punts him off.

To be expected though; Neal has always been the class of the field for cheating. Shame Cammish couldn’t do it cleanly without that sort of help.

Again...rubbish. Firstly Cammish put himself In this position from accumulating points throughout the season and a great drive in race 1. Bet you weren’t saying the same when Cammish and Jordan were being punted out in other races by respective teammates....

...it’s just another race, all drivers have had their fare share of scrapes throughout the season

Fag packet math:

If Turkington Cammish needs
Wins Second
Second Fourth
Third Seventh
Fourth Ninth
Fifth Eleventh

Were Cammish to DNF, Turkington would still need 7th

Where is Andrew Jordan going next year?

Was quite upset just when Louise was speaking to him.

It's a 30 race season not 29. It was unfortunate for Turks but it was even more unfortunate for Jordan getting taken out at Donnington and having to miss the whole meeting. No-one would have batted an eyelid about Neals move if it was on any other car.
