Is it me or is Dirtfish now basically Msport news. Very one sided, does Evans live there!!
Maybe Ford put their money into propaganda rather than the rally programme. How much input and money do ford actually put into this?? I've often wondered if MSport managed to pee the blue oval off in some ways by continuously going on about how they are basically privateers. rastapasta said:

It can't be too much (if any) as they need ££££ drivers, and do far less testing. We're always told they provide technical assistance, and the use of the Ford wind tunnel for aero work. All nice, but no substitute for cold hard £$£$£$£$. Ford don't think the WRC is worth it......Skylinecrazy said:
Ypres booked, so hoping we can go by August time...Looking forward to the Monte, although it’s the first time in three years I won’t be there
I've never been to Ypres but I really want to see one last rally with this generation of cars.Do you mind saying what you've planned in terms of accommodation etc? How easy is it to get between stages?
Cheers

Most of the stages are based within a few mile of the service park, so it’s very easy to get around. Viewing in Belgium is pretty relaxed as long as you arrive at a stage fairly early.
Accommodation wise, we’ve booked a hotel just under a mile outside Ypres. In Europe a rally is like a festival - the whole local area really gets behind the event.
I’ll miss Wales but rallying really is so much better abroad.

Sounds good. Think I’ll need to decide soon, I bet there isn’t that much local accommodation.
There is, but it books very quickly! Looking forward to this weekend, not long until the opening stages. A miracle that it's running.
Ypres is very tempting. Been to the city several times, but never for the rallying. So easy to get to (once you've managed to get across the channel), it's going to be very popular with Brits. Can imagine that accommodation will be very difficult within the city, but loads of options with easy access to the stages.

If you lot can’t make it I’ll take some pictures
Interesting interview yesterday with one of the top dogs at WRC.

As is his job, he's making things sound better than they are; "we have strong committed partners in Hyundai, Toyota & M-Sport Ford..." Yet one of them is so committed they need pay drivers.Interesting interview yesterday with one of the top dogs at WRC.

The fact that they're continuing even though they are really struggling shows commitment I think? It would've been much easier to sit out a year a focus resource on next year's car? Anyhow, Gus is in MN saying that pay drivers is a ridiculous assumption! DelicaL400 said:

Anyhow, Gus is in MN saying that pay drivers is a ridiculous assumption! WRC should have gone an ‘R5+’ route, then we’d have 5-6 manufactures. Saying that, the ‘17 cars are bloody awesome.
