... yes, Sam's topless bar sponsored us in (Can't remember) - the year we won our class in the 24 Hour (Tiga-Buick) - north end of the strip. Ask for (can't remeber) but you will remember her if she removes ...
Oh sorry, where to watch? Oh, go the infield to see how Yanks really live; checkout the team trucks and Daytona driver services (massage again! ask for ... can't remember) which includes sewing of driver suit patches ...

The race was red flagged. Engines were dried out in 10 minutes ready for the re-run. He went on to win the re-run and become Hovercraft Formula 1 World Champion. Oh and he's British, which is nice!
Yay him! smile

Did you know that the works lotus 49s raced for the first couple of their races in 1967 and they could have been kicked out for a technical illegality? In the french? Gp they turned up with a little tubular frame on the back of the ZF gearbox which constituted the rearmost point of the chassis. This meant that the exhaust pipes weren't too long. Apparently it was pointed out to Colin Chapman by another team owner. Can't see that happening these days, can you?
Will try and dig out pics later.

That engine is just perfect.

Who is the driver?
I'd guess it is Jim Clark but it doesn't look like him.

Great pictures M'Lord, I like 'Gilles' in slow-mo and Jo Siffert sporting a Heuer Autavia.....Nice
There's something very special about that shot, especially the light. I'm impressed that you can ID the watch from that angle!

Which one are you?

This is a picture of the rear end of a lotus 49 (R2 i believe) you can see the legalising 'bump bar' on the rear of the gearbox casing, like I was talking about above.

Quite so, the effect is interesting and I would be incredibly impressed if it wasn't Photoshopped. As it is, it's still extraordinary!
