That's a good point to be fair, I never thought much of the old International layout at Silverstone, but the GP support races used to be great; no doubt the teams/drivers tried hard to win for their respective marques on the 'global stage', but I always thought the GP track provided great racing.
Yes the iconic ‘the man’s an animal’ race was on the Post 91 GP circuit

I’m just glad to finally see Caterhams on the BTCC program.

Silverstone national circuit never really appeals to me, it feels hollow when you're there. All of the stands etc are empty and it's hard to view more than a small part of the circuit at any one time.

Usually are. Many events are streamed live on YouTube.

Sounds to me like Hill is on the rev limiter on the onboard shots. Perhaps missing one or two upper gears?

No answer in the TV show. Did Terkington move ahead of the lights in response to Crees?

They really are. Race two was one of the highlights of the last 20 years for me.

Felt for Doble in Race 1. Great effort in quali to then throw it away by doing the extra warm up lap...

Yeah who’s fault is that? Did the team not communicate it to him or did he just forget?!

I'm sure Tim Harvey said on commentary that they had briefly considered the idea of doing two warm up laps before the race due to the conditions. He must have had that stuck in his head along with the excitement of being on pole and got mixed up. Real shame for him.

What Ingram and Sutton are doing in those cars is incredible. It's a shame Jake Hill had the electrical issues as that could have made it really interesting up top. Add to that getting punted on the last lap so he missed out on pole for race 3.

They remind me of early Formula Ford races. Complete mayhem.

Just finished catching up after being away at the weekend.

Ash is an animal. Even when demanding "no gifts" with RowBo he still took him fair and square on the track for third!!!

That's why he's champion.

I kept thinking, surely Rowbottom will let him past. Fair play he didn't ask for it and raced it out on track. I'm not Sutton's biggest fan but there is no denying he's an utterly brilliant driver. He seems to be able to adapt to different cars like not many other drivers. He's had the Levorg, Infiniti (both RWD) and then switched to the FWD Focus and made it look almost unbeatable. It's a shame Cammish has had so much bad luck as I think he is on or very close to Sutton's level.

Obviously I can’t confirm but it but it looked to me like they were using Dan’s hybrid to tow Ash along until he’d used it all, then Ash went past. That would be the logical way to make sure Ash was as fast as possible every lap IMO.

I thought the same when Sutton wasn't immediately allowed past. But comments in the interview afterwards suggest that was not the case.
