Jurgen Alzen at the 'ring....some of the closing speeds on the other "competitors" are scary!

The initial section on the Nordschleife at around 1.50 almost looks like the video is speeded up - brilliant stuff
Probably the best video I've ever watched, absolutely mesmerized! The noise, the power! Oh. My.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7N7Lw_yzOQ&fea...

Petter Solberg setting the fastest ever time on the WRC's fastest stage.

Petter Solberg is epic there, but a definate honourable mention for Phil Mills. Epic concentration - top quote 'it gets fast now' half way through.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2I_EHrDZRvQ
What a good thread....
Nothing but man and machine pushing it to the limit, no one else involved, big risk factor, no shaky cameras - just well and truly "on it"!

Looks a little.....wide for a hill climb course, that does.

No doubt Scott is great and I always marvel when watching the top guys in uk hillclimbing but to suggest the on the two german clips that the tracks are too wide...? Clearly both guys are gunning it and using every inch of the track in front of them. Both clips show cars drifting/sliding to the outer extremities of the surface whilst never dropping a wheel an inch too far. Brave when going through tight turns at high speed with rock faces etc Here's Scott Moran going up Loton Park:

Another good example - Lancia Hill Climb - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SKRZj-ffTY&lis...
It's probably a combination of the two but either that car has biblical power or the shortest ratio gearbox known to man!Edmundo2 said:

Thing that gets me about Panizzi when he's driving is the eyes. he never blinks and always has these eyes on stalks!
I tried to find a clip I can recall watching back in the day of him in the 206WRC which really illustrates that! Search only found umpteen clips of him pulling a doughnut for the crowd halfway through a stage in Corsica he was leading by a country mile. Legend
