Ok then, I guess working in 'risk strategy and consulting' gives you more of an idea than me about the agreement, I only work with the guys who've been working with RBR, what would I know.
Anyway MGChris is right, this is for another thread really.
So why quote guff in the press? I'd love to know what tech has transferred from one to the other, I really would. And how it has filtered down to the road cars too.Anyway MGChris is right, this is for another thread really.

If one of the top teams fails to qualify for some reason and starts at the back of race 1 could they just drive round relatively slowly to burn off fuel then nail it to qualify first for race 2?
I can see why they`d do that, good point.I suppose it means if you have an issue in qualifying, it doesn`t mean your weekend is effectively ruined. By doing as you suggest, there is still chance to salvage something from race 2 & 3.

Surely this steady as she goes/fastest lap tactic would only be a big winner on a circuit with few passing opportunities?
We saw this year that the top guys (Turks at Knockhill for example) can scythe through most of the field and well into the points given a decent run. Hanging at the back might get fastest lap or thereabouts but it would mean few if any points in race 1, whereas a strong run through the field could get into the top half dozen with a chance of getting close if not on the podium in R2.
Would make for an interesting tactical call, that's for sure!

Will we see nw cars on this grid next year? new manufacturers? It would be good to see Mazda or a return of Vauxhall? Lexus with a decent Package behind them
Yes we will 2 atm with more tbc go back to the beginning of the thread and its somewhere between there and your post.Vauxhall wont return to busy with football, mazda never really were in it apart from privateer teams, lexus well we have something similar in that with infiniti joining.
Amd are trying to get a 2nd car but it all depends on the tbl. Good to see mike get a chance he showed some good speed in his first outing last year.

I doubt Gilham will be bringing a car into BTCC, he might try and get a drive, but 2 of the BMR restart VW Passat CC are Team Hard (Tony Gilhams team) old cars from 2013, which is when Gilham built his road car with the same bodykit.
And what a sack of st it is close up as well. The paint and overall finish is atrocious.Northern_Monkey said:
