I know you're anti Ferrari and Schumacher but have liked to have seen it go down to the wire.
I quite agree: that would have been great, EXCEPT that in a tie (such as in, Brazil result: Alonso 1st, Schumacher 2nd) Schumacher would have won the title.

He would have won thanks to that one point that he was gifted at Hungary - a point that was so completely undeserved that it could only be "justified" when the FIA changed - a week after the race - their long-standing chicane-cutting rule, which change had the effect of permitting Schumacher's move even though at the time that he committed it it was still illegal.

This was the sort of nonsense that makes many of us (obviously including me) deplore Ferrari, Schumacher and especially the FIA.

It's a crying shame that Suzuka has been dropped from the calendar next year. It's a beautiful circuit to whatch F1 cars go round.

There's more than one cock with a silly haircut in F1 who needs to be stopped. Come on Bernie, the circuits are the bedrock of the sport, literally.

They're saying that it'll be back in '08.

Considering that three of the eleven teams are Japanese, it seems reasonable to expect its return.

That'll make Alonso happier, seeing as he and renault have been acting like spoilt little poor losers in the last couple of races.

I used to like Alonso and enjoyed watching him race Schumacher, but recently he has been a whinging little git! I hope he stuffs it in spectacular fashion in Brazil and MS gets the win.

I dont think my comment is any more biased than some of the anti-ferrari / schumacher comments that get posted?

That is a deplorable attitude. I wouldn't wish an accident on anybody - friend or foe.

would have been interesting to see if schumi would have reverted to his banger car tactics if he had been carrying a lead into the last race.

Alonso's move to Mclaren looks like a big step backwards, much as i like mclaren. Who is the other renault driver for next season? have they decided yet?

I didn't think so.

My comment was more along the lines of, "Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean that nobody's out to get you."

Good race I thought, but the TV coverage was deplorable. How much action did we miss at the front because they insisted on turning it into the Super Aguri show? rolleyes If they want to instill Japanese pride in their home audience, they should try to avoid showing Aguri altogether...

I noticed Ferrari's rear wheel discs have been reduced by quite a bit, maybe someone had a word? Even though they're perfectly legal of course.

Let's not forget though, it's not over - for Schumacher to win, the championship leader would need to retire and the second placed driver would need to win - exactly what happened today.

Heikki Kovalainen, who this year has been their test driver.

Things can change quickly.
Less than a year ago a lot of people were reckoning that this year McLaren would walk the Championship, instead of failing to win a single race.

It will be most interesting to see how quickly the Michelin teams are able to catch up to Ferrari's understanding of how to optimise the Bridgestones (assuming, that is, that the '07 Bridgestones are not designed according to a Ferrari spec in order to favour them).

True enough, although in Brazil they'll have fresh engines, and Alonso will be able to stroke it to 8th, rather than pushing for a win as MS did today.

What, and lose the opportunity not only to be on the top step to receive his Championship, but also to prevent MS standing on the top step at his last GP?
