Britcar 24hr Entry List
Discussion
Class 1 is going to be close, not sure how the new mosler of rollcentre will fair, but think topcats might just have it, cos can't remember them ever having a DNF!
Class 2 the jetallience porsche I think might have it and second overall.
Class 3 jemco lineup looks very good, as does the hawthorns porsche so between them and the N24 of vantage racing thats my bet, with the winner on overall podium!
Production my moneys on the old skool honda integra of mardi gras but could go to anyone!
Genuinally can't wait to be back there!

I've always thought that Sean is a very good judge...hey ho!
My prediction - I think that the race will be won by a Class 3 car. With only 75 litres max per stop, I think that fuel economy is going to be absolutely key.
As well as those already trailed, I'm intrigued by the Team Lotus Evora entry - Ollie Hancock, Johnny Mowlem & TBA. One to watch?
Whatever, I'm looking forward to this event after last year's break - and will be down at the Silverstone White Horse next Wednesday evening for our traditional pre-event team dinner of ham, egg & chips (and maybe a medicinal beer!). Hope to catch up with lots of old friends over the weekend.
Please - no fog!!

Steve, would it be fair to say that you couldn't have chosen a DULLER subject with hard to pronounce names that 70 years ago may have made up the roll call of a Panzer (Panzerkampfwagen) tank crew
Come on , out with it or I'll ring JCW and find out myself
Damn trophy hunters, should be horsewhipped and made to see the error of their over sponsored ways. Bring it on says I, we'll give the blighters a run for their corporate funds and a jolly good thrashing to boot, for we will fight them at woodcote and at maggots, we'll fight them on the Hanger straight but we will never surrender moreover, gentlemen drivers then a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not there,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Silverstones day.

Well prepared car and happy committed team, consistent drivers, ability to sleep for 10 mins and wake up totally refreshed, (this little trick is only known to the over 55's who tend to cat nap or sofa sleep as a matter of course) good food and drink supply, team members and drivers who know when to take a break, no macho bullst, good supply of cigars, perfect pit stop timing, no infringements, wife or girlfriend on the ears telling you how bloody marvelous you are, and finally, the unshakable belief that you will finish, and as that's the case you may as well finish first
As a 1st timer at the 24hr this is the best advice I seen.It is going up on the garage wall

Silverstone 24 2008, Zolder 24 2009 and 2010.Britcar 2008, with 30 mins to go the gearbox oil cooler split and set fire to the car
Zolder 2009, gearbox oil pump failed and trashed the box
Zolder 2010, we won't go there.
As for the the Marcos(s)
2005...1st in class both cars finish
2006...both cars finish in the top ten overall
2007...top 20 finish (only ran one Marcos)
2008... leading for most of the race then the engine went, The only DNF for our Marcos (only ran one Marcos)
You need lady luck on your side.
Paul.
Hello all!
here is my predicction
Overall win: Class 3 car (preferably a Porsche )
Firts Class 1: 3rd Overall
Fisrt class 2: 5ft Overall
First clas 4: 7th Overall
Its going to be very interesting with the fuel regs. all of the car will have to work a lot for the race. looking forward to it!

Yeah 75 litres will make things interesting, it was bad enough trying to squeeze the stint times I wanted out of 90 litres. Although with fueling in the pit lane it will be a lot less stressful than trying to co-ordinate one fuel crew, pump availability and two cars. especially when dispite your best efforts fate always conspired to need both cars refueling at the same time!!! so 1 car and pit lane fueling should is say SHOULD be simpler, although I expect the minimum pit stop length for every stop may catch a few out.G
