When did the Fords change their colour scheme, it looks much better now imo.
Special edition livery for Finland. Or have some world wide promotion of the ecoboost engine donuts part of that. Apparently most factory backed fords in all motorsport this week will feature a similar scheme.
Came with its own hideously expensive 'limited edition' clothing range too, much like the black edition stuff for Wrc France last season

If it's live on Finnish TV, why haven't they got it on the official WRC website? Have the WRC people got any idea about promoting the sport? I don't think I've seen a Power stage live this season.
Trouble is they have no real TV deal here in the UK. Motors TV have the highlights and do a great job. Live rally is difficult to produce. I'm happy with the highlights but I'd love them to be longer and also in HD. Beggars can't be choosers and we WRC fans are beggars right now.
Huge accident for Breen yesterday, just what he didnt need

The Ford just isn't as good as the Citroen. Loeb may be good, but there may be a risk he'll end up like Schumacher, his reputation being slightly tainted by his and Citroen's domination being down to their financial clout along with it wrecking the championship!
Recently when Schumacher was bhing about the tyres influencing the results too much, Gary Anderson and others pointed out that Ferrari were the only ones who had access to special verions of the Bridgstone tyres that gave them a serious advantage.
So, is Loeb the best WRC driver or the best WRC driver in a Citroen?

Shame Ogier isn't in a WRC car this year. What's the chance that after being spooked by him last year, Loeb will bale from WRC to avoid a real challenger in a potentially equal car beating him?
Even if Ogier beats Loeb (which I don't think he will) in my opinion it will take nothing away from him. He will still be the best WRC driver, can't win everything forever now can he.. i'll agree Loeb is the best WRC driver. its a simple fact of the figures speak for themselves.
i'd love to see Loeb make a wild decision and have a seat in the ford before he calls time on it, just so we can see once and for all if the ford really can be a challenger given the best driver.
i dont mean to take anything away from JML or Solberg, but neither seem to have it in them to beat Loeb well this year. Petter is giving his all, but i think his time as a privateer has cost him his enthusiasm and that has lost him some of his competiveness. Latvala wont admit it, but he is now driving to keep his career alive in the sport by not throwing away the leads/ crashing out, like he has in the past. He cant give 110% like he knows he can as he’s afraid of binning it.
The ammount Malcolm Wilson has invested in JML’s career is not being reciprocated in the results as it should be. Remember that Solberg was brought into the Ford team this year as a 2nd driver to support JML and Fords title challenge this season, but that has now turned round to being JML supoporting Solbergs outside chance at the championship.
and theres certainly no doubt that the Fiesta appears to be lacking pace/strength/reliability that the DS3 displays.

Loeb is the greatest of out generation and probably the best ever
As much as ive always wanted to see him in a different car I doubt the result would be any different and im sure he would be able to nick all the people that make the Ds3 so good and turn the new machine into the best
I just hope he stays for one more year , but the way he seems to be all out for victory on all events, I cant see it happening.

I'm not convinced he is the best driver of all time. No way. He has benefitted from shorter rallies during his career, along with great advances in diff technology and capped power. He is a very smooth driver and his talent is suited to the current cars. I think in more powerful cars, with less technologically advanced diffs over longer rallies some of the previous drivers would have definitely given him a serious run for their money and maybe even spanked his arse. Fingers crossed Mikko gets up to speed in the DS3, and next year Loeb stays on to prove himself against what I hope is a very strong VW driven by another amazing French driver.
I'm not saying Loeb is overrated, just that he's been flattered by the best car and the sanitised WRC we see today. Petter in a factory DS3? Would have loved it.
Would be interesting to see Loeb do a season of F1 too. See if he can do in F1 what Kimi failed to do in WRC.

Red Bull set to be announced as new promoter of the World Rally Championship
Autosport said:
Red Bull is set to be announced as the new promoter of the World Rally Championship, AUTOSPORT understands.
The FIA, the sport's ruling body, opened a tender to find a new promoter for the WRC in February after the previous promoter, North One Sport, had its contract terminated when its parent company CSI went into administration.
Red Bull Media House was one of three candidates that had been shortlisted by the FIA for the role. The other two were a South African partnership and Eurosport.
The WRC manufacturers, teams and stakeholders were told about the deal during Rally Finland earlier this month.
Citroen boss Yves Matton, whose team is sponsored by Red Bull, believes the move will be good for the sport.
"I think [Red Bull] Media House promoting the championship would be a good thing, but it would be different from Red Bull, which is the team sponsor," said Matton.
"When they do something, they do it properly and they don't just want to make a good name with the promotion. If they choose to invest in the World Rally Championship then it's because they want to make a proper job, otherwise they would not even attempt to do it."
