If they have a dozen cars for the first round, I'm guessing that they'll be happy. Bringing in some international cars is a good plan.
It's been a huge successful everywhere else, can't see why not in the UK.

BRSCC are stream it live today https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tCpkWiP7Qs
Wasn't a bad first race. Some pretty close action, especially in the first half. Shame Palmer had to pull out, hopefully back for the second race.
Not sure Silverstone was the best first circuit for the series as with only 13 cars and a small crowd it looked a bit deserted. Should be better at Knockhill as the track is more compact and the crowd is closer. Weather might be more encouraging of a crowd in a month's time too.

I'm guessing the live stream made it look more exciting than it was, I went along today and it certainly wasn't that interesting to watch, the support races created more excitement so it surprised me when everyone came and watched the TCR races but not the support races! Don't get me wrong it'd be great to see TCR be successful in the UK and this weekend could have been worse so hopefully they'll get some larger grid's as the season goes on.
Enjoyed the day out, TCR was better than it might've been but did get a bit spread out at times, I think shorter races would suit it better while it's got small grids (and big variation in speeds of drivers too). There were a few very good battles but also a few too many running around alone, however it's certainly got potential, I'll happily watch again next time they're somewhere in easy reach of me. Hope they can keep the numbers up or preferably increase them; I know a few were only meant to be one-off entries, but Lloyd in particular would be a very good permanent addition to the series if he can manage to get a deal together.
My thoughts after races 1 & 2 of the series, and being open book, I was not a fan of TCR previously, would even say I felt there was a hell of a lot more hype than substance to it.
Need more cars on the grid. It’s come a long way from half a dozen that were at media day but could still use a few more. That said, the ones that were there seemed to cluster nicely to give some good racing.
TCR International is pap. I’ve watched individual race meetings and I’ve watched entire season summaries and always found it very lacking in action. TCR UK doesnt look like it has that problem. Some cracking racing yesterday I thought, largely clean also.
BOP is an interesting one, Golfs looked absolutely mega planted, so flat when cornering. The power addition to the cars which aren’t so good at the corners looks to be well done as the drive away on the straights element wasn’t as obvious as BTCC.
Alfa looks like it’s going to have to rely on straight line pace for the foreseeable. For all the folk chirping “forza Alfa!” on Facebook, reality is, it’s a Grande Punto in a frock. Always going to be short, narrow and tall. Yes standardised track widths cure the latter, but it’s always going to have a higher CofG than pretty much every other TCR car I can think of.

Just caught up with the first 3 races today.
Apart from the small grid I actually enjoyed them, the cars look good and there were a fair few little battles going on over the races...
Felt sorry for Moffat in the last race, he had put up a sterling defence only for the car to let him down with a couple of laps to go.
Knockhill next though, should suite the cars better with the shorter track and lack of wide open empty spaces...

Decent day out at Knockhill today. Rain prior to the start made for a damp circuit for the first race which lead to a bit more action, especially for Lewis Kent who was doing a good impression of a rally cross driver. The support races, particularly the MX5s were brilliant.
With a few more teams to up the grid numbers I'm sure TCR would have a future in the UK, even if BTCC remains the major player for the touring car scene.
Sorry for Moffat having to retire near the end of the first race with a broken engine mount and then not even making the second race as the Alfa broke getting to the grid.
