What to race in next year?
Discussion
Hi all,
looking at the various championships as options for what to race in next year with my Noble.
I spent this year as my first year doing a mix of a few sprints, SMRC sports/saloon cars and Arrowpak Eurosaloons races, reasonably successfully with 7 podium finishes between the 13 races, but would like to know more about the GT CUP as it seems the next step up with slightly longer races and a bit more of a challenge. If its not realistic I'll probably try and do a full season of the eurosaloons though.
The GT CUP doesn't appear to be as popular as it once was from what I can see, however my car doesn't slot in so well with the britcar set up and classes (or budget). Its also not really a production spec car any more and its not a proper full blown race car capable of competing with the fancy metal in 1hr plus length races.
Any info on that series or a point in the right direction would be helpful.
Thanks
Graham

We competed in the GT Cup this year with our Ginettas, we found it to be a very well run, fun series with a good mix of cars and decent grids at most rounds. With a mix of a few GT3 cars, Ferrari 430/458 challenge cars, Porsche 996 and 997 cups cars and a few others
Cost are not to bad for that type of racing either and there is normally a class to fit your car, they try and do a bit of equalising within class so no cars have too much of an advantage.
