Donington was an interesting start to the new season. In particular, the new qualifying method. Rather than an equal playing field, it seems to favour the top drivers. So they will consistently end up in the "top six", and not allow a "left-field" pole from one of the other drivers. Let's see how that pans out for the rest of the season.

In Donington, it certainly ended up favouring the top three drivers, and they all went onto hog the podiums for Races 1 and 2.

But Brands Hatch Indy is such a tight little circuit, hopefully different results this coming weekend.

In the Minis at Donington, I noticed Nelson King was struggling, when he should have had very good pace. Dud batch of turbos, apparently, and hopefully he can demonstrate his class at his home circuit this weekend.

What races were you watching? Certainly not the BTCC.
