After visiting Silverstone last weekend I have decided I am going to no more GT races there. The organsiation was shocking and most of the stands (including the main stand opposite the pit lane) were closed and so were about 1/2 of the loo blocks. Maybe expected this on Saturday with reduced crowds but certainly not on Sunday.
Add to the fact no TVR's and the thrill has gone for me.
Been watching Tuscan's since 1990 and GT's for the last 2 or 3 years and really enjoyed the racing, especially when Tuscans and GT's were on the same programme.
Silverstone charged standard rates too which I am really pi55ed off about.
Goodbye Silverstone and maybe GT's.

I can't understand why the main stand isn't open??? What would it cost - about nothing - maybe a bit of cleaning and security. Everyone was crammed into Woodcote (especially Saturday when it lashed it down) so every race was busy and not easy getting the best spot. I enjoy it as it is relaxed and you never struggle to find a good spot with plenty of space. The GT's is a Ferrari/Porsche outing with a few other marques thrown in for good measure - not really my cup of tea anymore - becoming similar to F1 which I hate.
Will have to look at alternatives for 2006.

If Silverstone think that contributes towards a good days entertainmemt then they are mistaken (IMO). I have never know the stands closed before so why now. Just makes the walk to the pits to the stands and to fins any loos open a long walk - not good when you've got a bad back (Mrs FFG).
