PistonHeads has become the official media partner for the 2007 British F3 International and British GT series. The championships are paired for most of the season with two races for each series per weekend, but the F3 circus also travels to Bucharest, Monza and Spa for three international races alongside the FIA GT championship.

The agreement means PHers will get all the latest news, plus exclusive features and dedicated competitions on the nine event series that begins on Easter Monday at the classic Oulton Park circuit. We’ll be offering you the chance to meet the teams, get paddock access, receive up to date race reports, browse car and team tech specs and one of you will even get the chance to drive a British GT car out on the track. We’re aiming to compare road and race variants of each car later in the year.

As ever, expect the Lloyds TSB Insurance British F3 series to be young Brits mixing it with the best of aspiring overseas drivers; as reliable a barometer of upcoming single-seater talent you’ll find anywhere in the world. So far the leading teams of Carlin and Fortec have been setting the pace in testing.

The Avon tyres British GT championship has switched completely to the new GT3 class rules for its premier category this year, opening up the field to a wider selection of marques in the process. Expect Porsche, Ascari, Lotus, Ferrari, Dodge, Jaguar, Mosler and Chevrolet to be present along with at least three Aston Martin DBRS9s. Supporting them will once again be the GTC class that provided some close racing last year, and further variety of machinery.

So join us in 2007 supporting some of Britain’s best national racing. You’ll see big PH stickers on the side of every car competing in the GT championship and on the podium, and at certain rounds they’ll be dedicated PH parking areas where we can get together with some great cars.

Here’s looking forward to a long, hot summer of racing.
