Just want to extend an invite to all the racing fans here to come along and watch the racing on Saturday. Everyone is welcome to come and chat in the paddock although you'll have to excuse me if I seem a bit distracted at times.

Current weather forecast is dry but a bit on the chilly side (just what my car likes)

I will be there too but only spectating due to a lack of funds ( and enthusiasm to tow the bloody car all the way up there! )

Funds is a good excuse Pete - enthusiasm though? Next you'll be telling us you prefer sitting infront of the fire with your slippers on, smoking a pipe and watching the soaps on TV...

To give a brief explanation, we have a rather diverse field thanks to 8 different classes!

Prod Saloons A, B and C are have to be within 5% of the original manufacturers stated weight, must run on road legal tyres, retain the original interior but they can do pretty much what they like to the engine. Result is some very quick cars in a straight line but they have terrible problems under braking and cornering.

Modified Production C, D and E are strictly controlled on silhouette and limited on engine and suspension modifications but can run on slicks and strip out the interior. Result is some very quick cars around corners but tend to be a bit limited in a straight line.

Modified A and B are only limited on silhouette with restrictions only on aerodynamics and a couple of other minor points. Result is some very quick cars.

There is actually another group of classes again but they do not run in the same race (ours can be split between production and modified depending on grid size) or even the same venue.

Yesterday would have been a stunning race if not for the fact the grid was a bit small and we were using the full international circuit. I spent the entire race being baulked by a lancia saloon and dodging the extremely quick primeras and the harrier. Ironically I seem to have spent the rest of the day helping the same lancia make it to the track after a small ride height tweak resulted in the spring perch chewing a hole in the tyre sidewall!

Managed to say hi to lazyitus inbetween the mayhem though and if anyone missed me (or viceversa) I do apologise.

No problem - I had hoped to catch a few people but as I'm sure you know it is difficult to stay with the car all day when there is so much to be done.

I tried to do a tour of the paddock to catch people but between getting tyres fitted and sorting out my friends Lancia it was not possible.
