Clearly he isn't alone as the owner clearly loves it too.
The owner being a she, I'll be bound. There were about 20 of them staying - part of the 'Supercar Owners Club'. Lovely people I'm sure, but why the need to herd!? I've avoided Aston/Porsche clubs like the plague... solitary is so much more fun IMO.

Lots of people out this weekend, the season is in full swing. Saw my first McLaren 570 in Ullapool on Sat (no pics, sorry).
Just had my best ever weekend with the Elise. On some of the more intense single-track roads I was totally lost in concentration for 30 mins at a time. Utterly absorbing. If anyone questions why a car with only 120bhp and no driver aids is worth driving I have the answer burnt into my memory now.

Know what you mean about the concentration- last trip I did in Seven up there involved a 270 mile run taking in Starthcarron,Applecross , Torridon , Gairloch, Ullapool and Kylesku - at end of day I had aching arms and shoulders , was half deaf , wet on right shoulder and a thousand yard stare. Wonderful.
Agree with GC about herding - done the convoy thing and it's OK but , for me, it falls far short of the solo run where I can enjoy the scenery , go as fast or as slow as I like , stop spontaneously and don't have to park up in a big layby to take the same pictures as last time I went. I can also avoid the rather desperate exhibitionism that some convoys seem to involve . I'm just anti social at heart .

Think you mean "unsociable". Antisocial suggests you have uncontrollable flatulence or some such unfortunate condition or habit! Wrong on so many levels.

Cheers! Didn't quite feel it, although I needed the suncream. That Morgan just looked so right there. It was touring rather than being driven for excitement, not that there is anything wrong with that.
However I did take offence at a Honda S2000 and Porsche Macan S both doing less than 40 on open sections of singletrack with no sign of looking at their mirrors on Saturday and Sunday.

Cracking pic: Glen EtiveOut and back dead end roads usually tend to have the least traffic.

Otoh you don't get the craic/banter afterwards in the evening. Horses for courses. Make two trips and get the best of both worlds. Gassing Station | Roads | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
