As with others, I can't narrow it down to just one, but here's a couple of my faves.....
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&a... Strines Moor - A real challenging run with more than a little danger. I have had several mates make a mess on there, but driven well it has a good mix of dips and crests, a couple of near hairpins, adverse cambers and other tricks to catch out the wary. A real devils road.
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&a... Ribblehead - Links on to the revered Buttertubs, but is a much more fulfilling run with some awesome flowing bends.
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&a... Hardknott & Wrynose Pass - Truly stunning scenery and a thrilling run, especially the climb up to the fort with its hairpins. Go slightly off-line and the embedded granite sees you hitting solid planet Earth. Gets a bit choked up with sight see-ers at the busier holiday times of the years, spoiling it for drivers.
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&a... Bolton Abbey to Aysgarth - I couldn't tell you how many times I've driven this road through my beloved Yorkshire Dales, my spiritual home. Beautiful countryside, lovely villages, great pubs serving superb food and of course, BEER. The road just makes it exciting as well.

A939 Grantown to Braemar. A great road made even better because all you fkers aren't on it.
Oh yes we are.The road parallel(ish) to it the B9007 is also a favourite of mine.
These are my favourite roads. The views aren't bad either.

Does seem to be quite heavily policed.
Sticking with that area, I was surprised how entertaining bits of the A684 are for a relatively major through-road too. Perhaps not a classic in the context we're talking here, but certainly not the caravan-strewn nightmare it could be.

Tregaron - Abergwesyn mountain road.
The first time I did it was around midnight on a rally in the 70s.
Never been over it as quick since but the views were a lot better.

I must get 'round to doing that one at some point as it's not too far away from hq.

B6277 from Middleton-in-Teesdale up to Alston. From High Force Hotel/waterfall you get 17 miles of twisty but open and well-sighted smooth tarmac along the side of the South Tyne valley. Old quarry roads so wide and well surfaced.
Agreed. You can have some serious fun hooning along this stretch when the conditions are right - unlike the last time I took that route around the new year when there were 4ft snow drifts on either side of the road!A4133 from Droitwich Spa to Holt Heath.
A443 from Holt Heath to Newnham Bridge
A456 from Newnham Bridge to Tenbury Wells
Not anything like the same these days. Far too busy and too many speed restrictions, some valid, some questionable, to try anything these days but at one time it was a question of balls as to how long it took to get to the Rose and Crown

Walter, bang on the money with the B6255 Ingleton - Hawes. Link it with Bolton Abbey - Aysgarth, and you get a superb route. Start at Settle, up to Ribblehead, turn right to Hawes, continue to Aysgarth, turn right to Bolton Abbey, then back to Settle. Should be a good 2 hour round trip. Or miss out Settle, and go Ingleton - Hawes - Aysgarth - Bolton Abbey - Ingleton. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&a... Absolutely brilliant, that brought back some memories, going up there a few times in the Cerbera, and then driving all the way back just to make sure.(one of the reasons I moved here - I have the road to myself every Sunday morning)

Sweet drive you have there, and 1 hell of a front garden. However, I'd not be quite so smug about living in a caravan =)(one of the reasons I moved here - I have the road to myself every Sunday morning)

Another vote for the A507, it's on a regular local run for me. the section out of Cottered to the left turn junction is a hoot. The run out of Baldock going east in the dark is quite special too.
Other favorites include the Rest and be Thankful, the road that leads to the Trossachs carpark, Hard Knott Pass and, a recent find due to being sat nav'd away from traffic, the A628 from Penistone to Stalybridge. Pity it's a trunk road full of HGVs most of the time...
