best car ever driven
Discussion
Driven; I'd say my Clio 197, it does everything so well. But, my dads Impreza WRXS does everything so well with more power and added oversteer... However I suspect that will change this summer as a mate has promised me a go in his '85 911, which although I know is a pig to drive, was my boyhood poster car.
WRXS;
No photo' of the 911 at the moment unfortunately.
Owned; Clio 197, brilliant. Close second would be a FIAT Seicento Sporting that had one seat, a rollcage and handled like a Scalextric car.

Been lucky enough to drive alot of tasty machinery before the age of 18.
The most memorable have to be :
TVR Tuscan
TVR Griffith 500
70' 427 'vette
Me in X 7USC's Tuscan Red Rose
Chasing a Caterham R300 down at Abingdon (driver admitted to breaking into a grin when he saw a 17 year old in a Tuscan keeping up with him )

whats the best car you have ever driven?
and what's the best car you have ever owned?
The best in my opinion, or the best on paper?and what's the best car you have ever owned?
In my opinion probably this:
I had a chance to play in one of Palmersport's Clios last summer, I just loved it. It was a stunning little car to drive - It was fast, light, handled great and it had a proper flappy paddle gear box.

My MX5, only bought it recently and it's my first proper car I suppose. I've only just discovered how much fun it is when the roads are a bit damp.. neiljohnson said:
Hard one to answer as have been a mechanic for many years so have a fair few to choose from.

Best car I've ever driven slowly (at BCA) is probably the R8. Best one I've driven fast: hard to choose between the F 360 and the Exige (chalk and cheese, really) around Silverstone.
Best car I've owned had to be my GTO, but I did work up to it from a string of utilitarian and mostly ste cars.
