"It's nothing like a Golf"
Well after passing my test in November last year and starting work in February, the saving for a car began, initially i was looking at Polo's etc... but was amazed i could get insured on a Punto Sporting at a reasonable price, looked at the car on Monday evening, the deal was done on Tuesday and i picked her up last night. Absolutely love it

very nice indded, also looking for a first car, how much are you paying insurance? canget it under £3500 !!!!! :-(
I am 19 and was quoted £2100 with the Co - Op. I find adding your parents as named/additional drives can bring the quote down a little bit if they have a clean license and a few years NCB.melvster said:

+1I paid £900 comp on my ZR aged 19 1yr ncb and 3 points with admiral on a 10month bonus accelerator
Up for renewal soon aged 20 with 2yr ncb quotes coming up around £600
Nice one Adam, exactly the same as mine cosmetically however yours has the side skirts on that mine didn't. Also you're looks like a 1.4 or bigger where as mine was only a 1.2 16v (for insurance reasons at 17). Great cars absolutely loved mine, understeered like the QE2 in the wet though so fitted a Pi shorter spring and damper kit which dropped it by 30mm at the front and 15mm at the rear, made it handle and look miles better. Enjoy it chap

My car is one budget tyres at the moment so will change those at some point, understeers on roundabouts no problem even at slow speeds, i.e, 3rd gear 25 mph.
As I said on facebuuuke. Nice car. Small fiats are great fun. Good pictures aswell. And as you said the engine likes to rev doesn't it. The Panda is exactly the same. Not fast but enough to surprise people and leave a smile on your face.
I would get it onto some nice decent rubber, something like T1Rs or Eagle F1s. With a decent grippy tyre the amount of speed you can carry though the bends is brilliant.
