Not in the too near future, Better brakes are needed, want some 4 pots on there, but may need bigger disks for them, and the disks fill the wheels as is. theres a guy on the 306 OC forum with a s/c on his, we'll see how it goes, its plenty quick for me at the mo.

Great car - certainly the best I've ever driven. I still miss mine.

One thing though, I always thought the brakes on my phase 3 were fantastic: even on the track. I suspect you'll need bigger wheels to get 4 pots on and that could well bugger up the handling... Just my opinion, of course wink

See if you can get a copy of the current PPC (be quick as the new one is out in a couple of days). There's a good section on 306 tinkering.

Nice car BTW thumbup

This months PPC has a supercharged GTI 6 with 400hp. Looks like an absolute riot!

It certainly can't have been a cheap job! I don't believe the bit about it not needing anymore grip though, my 106 will spin up in the dry with barely 140hp, I'm sure the standard GTI 6 is similar.

I was looking at GTI 6s before I decided to get a 16v 106 rallye. GTI 6 would have been cheaper to insure although a bit pricier to run. In the end I thought my license would be safer with the 125mph 106 than the 140mph 306!

Edited to add: Is the GTI 6 badge in the front grill standard? I've never noticed it before.

No it was put on by the chap before, i'm in 2 minds what to do with it though, leave the car as is, or take the gti spoilers skirts etc off and badge it as a dturbo :P

I think they are stealthy enough as they are. They bodykit is very subtle and most late 306s were fitted with cyclone-esque wheels so other than the badging it will take a trained eye to notice it over any other 306.

Surprised plenty of those who assumed it to be another vanila HDI hehe

Cracking cars. Miss mine alot. Current car doesn't fully compensate either.

Resurecting this from the dead...

I've made a few changes to the car since having it, probably for the worse but hey ho...

Replaced the unsupportive seats with some nice Recaro Jobbies
Lowered 30mm all round on Koni adjustable shocks and springs
Front upper strut brace
Fitted DS2500 brake pads
Decat with powerflow SS exhaust
16" Speedline wheels with Eagle F1s

below are a few pics from the weekend, let me know if you think my changes are for the better or worse!tongue out
