After having the MX-5 for just five months the new owner drove it away last night (spot on with PH classifieds, sold within 48 hours!). As a result I needed to buy another car. I collected this 182 this morning biggrin - it's great so far!

I'm 21 in three weeks, and no, my insurance is the bad side of £1000 unfortunately!

Awesome smile. Out of interest, what sort of fuel economy are you getting? I was hoping it would get 32mpg average (justification to myself) but I'm getting 29 at the moment (on the trip computer...

Sounds about right. Unless you're doing 30,000 a year, 3mpg difference will make sod all cost difference, so don't worry about it. More fun to see what you can get the MPG down to on track! Had my old trophy showing 13mpg on the trip comp round brands, but I think a few have got below this!!

Lovely car, my Trophy is the one car I've owned that I would buy back in a second if I got the chance. Never had so much fun.

Surely the 5 didn't get much more? Mine used to return something awful like 25mpg!

The '5 averaged 32mpg over 10k miles. Best on a tankful was 38mpg, worst was 25mpg I think!

10k miles in 6 months?! Sounds like you enjoyed it! I changed to the Astra Turbo, then the Astra VXR, because they were both better on fuel! hehe Unfortunately that's what you get with old engine technology.

As said though, try not to worry too much about the MPG. My Z is currently sat at 28mpg average, which I'm not too disappointed with, but it could be better!

V15 here.
I am getting 32-33 at the moment. The computer is showing 33.5mpg for the past 600 miles.
Heading to Europe in the morning so will let you know how it does over 2,200 miles of hoonage and Nurburgring smile

Polar here.
I've been getting 39.1mpg for the past 270 odd miles. Mostly been doing motorway miles but has included around 100 of country lanes and town driving.
