Well been driving for since April 21st now and done well over 5000 miles biggrin I have been to Silverstone, Donington, Cadwell, Three Sisters and Oulton (but that is only 8 miles away!)

The reason for the thread title is that the skip has cost me £480 in a month yikes That is barring fuel!!

The list of faults:

Brake Calipers
Exhuast
Clutch
Oil Pressure Switch
Cranckshaft sensor
Coil Pack.

Not bad for a month hehe Hopefully will have some trouble free motoring now!!

Spent a few quid on stickers to. Not all of them I paid for though!

In these pictures you will see my speakers. Right, let me explain. I didnt want them there. I got offered them at £20 and ripped his hand off. The ones in the doors didnt work and I like my music!

However, when I got home I found they didnt fit in the door. Which I was annoyed about. So the only place they would was the parcel shelf boxedin I may as well have 'dick head' written on the back window but hey ho. They sound great!

The stickers:

One of the first trips I took in my car was to Halfrauds to buy products to bring back the black of my bumper, the red of the car and silver of the wheels.

Well I started that today.

And now I am going to don my flame proof suit. Me and my dad did the first wheel. then when I put the centre peice on, it looked crap. We didnt have any plastic silver spray. So my dad said 'do it in black'. I was a bit unsure of how chavvy this would look. But, it looks ace IMO. A brain wave by my dad biggrin However, I dont think you guys will agree hehe

How the wheels started (all very similair):

how they finished

and the whole car

So that is my corsa. Hope it isnt to chavvy! I am very proud of this and it is my Pride and Joy (as are our first cars)

Look forward to your comments,

Thanks
Matt

We all get times like that, part of the joys of car ownership I'm afraid. Hopefully you've got a nice stack of receipts to show that should make it easier to sell when you come to get rid of it.

Weirdly that is pretty much the same date as I bought my new car and roughly the same mileage! Spooky!
I have been round Europe in that time though so you've done a good job of racking up the miles!
Also can't beat covering your first car in stickers smile

You'll have to spend more than that to make it cheaper to run a TVR I've had mine 3 weeks and in fuel alone it's cost £520 I think I might start to drive it a little more sensibly sometime.

A complete and utter heap of st. However, it’s your first car, so thrash it, kill it and move on. The wheels came up well thumbup

You're looking in the wrong places for your cats, then.

It certainly is biggrin But hey ho. Nearly took the wing mirror off before! Took my usual line around a bend and the hedge must have grown over the past week. Oops!

why did you keep the plastic half wheel covers? why not just ditch them, they dont do anything?
they look silly with just a small black bit in the middle

and the stickers are way OTT

but thats just my opinion

Everyone modifies their first car in a little way, some to the extreme. Nothing wrong with a few stickers though - better than a huge bodykit.Hope it treats you well, got my re-test on the 4Th August (Every other date is taken frown) so I'll be in a similar situation soon. Hopefully I'll be able to get to Oulton more often when i can actually drive!
