My E36 328i Sport
Discussion
Hi guys,
Just thought I'd show you the car I picked up yesterday morning. Its a BMW E36 328i Sport in Techno Violet Metallic. Its a 1998 car with 88k miles, and its pretty much mint apart from a couple of small marks on the paint and a dent on the roof, with a folder full of reciepts and full service history. It's even got the original invoice for £31,777!
Its got a few modifcations such as a K&N air filter (i realise the stigma attached with K&N but i think its fine and the sound is amazing!), M3 intake manifold, e-maps remap, M3 LSD, and an M3 interior. It really is surprisingly fast - i would estimate its producing in the region of 200bhp, maybe a bit more. I intend to get it rolling roaded sometime in the near future.
Here are some pictures:
And of course, the first thing i did to the car - a PH sticker!
Plans for the car include fixing the dent on the roof, get it rolling roaded and generally tidy it up and keep it as mint and original as possible. Hope you like it!

How did you attach the M3 inlet? The e36 M3 is on throttle bodies isn't it?
Lovely car though, might be my next purchase if i can ever bring myself to sell the 205...
Presumably it's the intake pipework section before the throttle bodies- don't the 6cyl cars have individual runners going to a single throttle body?Lovely car though, might be my next purchase if i can ever bring myself to sell the 205...

Thanks for the comments! Not sure about the manifold to be honest, im only going by what the previous owner told me. He did say it was the M50 manifold, which i thought was from the M3.
Oh and regarding the forum name change - i've still got my old mini so its all good! Its currently being restored so i will put some pictures up when its done. This car is replacing my 1-series company car as my daily driver.

I really am getting dangerously close to buying one of these...

I've got 2 328i's: one with standard running gear and the other with a M3 Evo rear axle (amongst other mods) I have to admit the biggest single improvement was fitting the M3 diff (3.23 ratio). The gearing is ridiculously long as standard with the 2.93 diff.
Thats interesting information because this 328 is the only one I've ever driven, so with the M3 diff I was unsure of what the difference was between that and standard. Can anyone tell me where I would feel the benefits of having a Limited Slip Diff?Elskeggso said:
Power is distributed equally to the driven wheels, stops the inside wheel spinning on its own, damp roundabouts will be your friend!
Its actually rather more handy in the dry than wet Pulling out of side junctions and flooring it with next to no wheelspin is great fun! Edited by Elskeggso on Monday 28th June 10:46
Great Looking car OP! Want your interior in mine Has it got a short shift kit fitted? The knob looks lower down than mine!
