Ferrari 250 GTE restoration
Discussion
Just read through every comment and this is truly incredible. I cannot wait for any updates you have to offer and more than anything I would love to get involved (Only a 17 year old student who wants to learn anything and everything about cars). Oh, and hopefully get into restoring vehicles myself (When I get out of college and pay off debts to mum and dad. Ha.)
So hopefully you have some soon. Cannot wait and hope to hear from you soon!
EDIT.
Forgot to mention. Bookmarked too!

Wow only just found this thread amazing looking forward to more updates the fact that you are going to auction it off in aid of Great Ormand Street is well to be honest with you i'm lost for words increadable I hope it sells well. To take on a classic Ferrari as your first ever resto
For the past 6 or so years I have taken part in a charity event in aid of CHSW down in Devon in my classic mini (nothing as exotic as the pictures posted here) this year as part of the I was asked to take part in a small run from the hospice to a local attaction to act a taxis for some of the children and their brothers and sisters this run along with driving through the hospice gounds on the Monday run in full fancy dress and seeing all the children waiting for us to arrive and wave and cheer us past is a truely humbling experiance and I am not ashamed to say makes me all emotinal every time. As you said Pete it makes you realise how lucky you are and appericate what you have.

Just stumbed upon this thread
I'm a massive fan of th 250 series, infact the first Ferrari I ever went in was a 250 GT Tour De France 1958
Your previous cars look awesome (something of a Porsche fan you should know). I think youre brave to take on this project, I would have though this would go into silly money lol. Just a quick question, did you buy just a shell, or all the parts? Do you have the original engine for the car?
I look forward to seeing how this thread turns out.

need more people like you. i know so many people that are so wealthy but very tight and wouldn't buy skoda never mind a decent car
a foaf recently sold their parents house for £1.1m and wouldn't even buy a 50k car when it came to changing
i guess you either have petrol in your blood or you don't
if it looks like this when finished it'll be a head turner

pistonheads: casually fabricating bodywork for an intensely beautiful car matters!
