Ford Mustang GT (2017 spec)
Discussion
So... Good news.... My insurers have decided that they aren't going to repair the Mustang. Not that its not economical to repair, just down to part availability.
Bad news.... I don't qualify for new for old, as there's a clause deep down in their T's & C's that states that new for old only applies if the car is uneconomical to repair (as in repair cost is more than 55% of the value), which it isn't.
So, I'll just get paid out current market value. Oh joy.

This is why GAP insurance is worth every penny. Make sure you get it next time. I paid 134 quid for up to 12k of cover for 3 years. Would probably be in the mid-high 200s for a mustang but still could save you thousands.Bad news.... Did you have to take a loss?
In terms of the insurance world, no, not really. I've been paid out 'very nearly' what I paid for the car back in September.BUT, if I were to buy the same again, it would now cost around £7k more, so in the real world, yes.
Also, I paid two grand in RFL back in September, and if I buy a new car, I'll have to pay that again It was painful enough the first time around.

Car shopping didn't take long... Deposit placed on this. Velocity Blue 2019 GT Manual, with Custom Pack 2 and the Spoiler.
It's being loaded onto a boat in the US as we speak, and should be here around the end of the month.
Great news! It's being loaded onto a boat in the US as we speak, and should be here around the end of the month.
I hope you manage to avoid cr*p French hatchbacks driven by the gormless!

Think I recognise the crash site! It's not the Sainsbury's between Camberley and Farnborough by any chance is it?
Yep, exactly that spot - Sainburys Watchmoor Park. Thanks for the comments everyone - it's all coming together. Should be doing the paperwork on the new one today, and have a reg number.
