While doing the drums I noticed it's picked it's first dent up.

Bit gutting but looks like the kind of thing that should take a PDR man half hour to sort.

It definitely wasn't me and I'm pretty careful where I leave it so no idea how it happened.

Dent man came out this morning.

Took him 20 minutes (£100 please eek)

In his words it's 98% better. He said it was a particularly sharp dent.

Does look infinitely better but it did make me appreciate sheds that bit more.

It is worth using cerakote trim wipes (or similar) on the plastic trim too. It'll keep it from fading long term.
Did this today. Used the GTECNIQ stuff.

Nice and easy to do. Didn't make much difference apart from the scuttle trim, which did look better.

2700 miles in and the first problem has crept up.

The fuel door won't open. It had been a bit funny before like it wasn't releasing properly. Going to have to brave the dealer I think.

Internal release, probably the spring thing on the door needs a bit of bending to make it springy again, maybe a bit of lube in the hinge too, pull the internal release and get someone to pull the flap at the same time, it will likely open.

Yes I think you're right.

I've lubed everything that needs it and the release does retract all the way.

My mate has just purchased an identical to my 2020 Tce Bi Fuel Duster even down to the colour. The only difference is his pre facelift 21 plate doesn’t have the drawer under the seat. It has 11k miles and is £15.5k! That’s more than when it was new I think. It’s missing the gas adapter too.

Mine doesn't have the drawer either, bit of a shame as it sounds useful.

Washed it, bird shat on it within the hour.

I'm now one of those saddos that carries a microfiber and quick detailer spray in the door pocket.

Not sure if this is classed as child abuse but my 2 year old will love it.

Not too much to report.

The Duster passed 3000 miles yesterday so we're on for about 7 or 8000 miles per year.

The fuel flap release seems to be working as designed, it just doesn't seem very well designed. I can imagine that the dealer sees a lot of them.

The drivers seat also rocks very slightly, another relatively common fault it seems, that'll be getting fixed.

And lastly I bought a Cordless leaf blower (already had the batteries so it was cheap for the body only (Makita)). With a small nozzle it works a treat as a contact less method of drying. Takes about the same time as towelling but without the risk of fine scratches. Works great on the wheels.

My comfort hasn't got a internal release for the fuel door, seems a odd thing to make the effort to add on the top spec.

My essential hasn't either, need the ignition key to get the filler cap off instead.

Car went in for its first dealer visit today. I was nervous laugh. Fuel flap is fixed but the drivers seat is within spec apparently, "quirk of the car" were her exact words. Nice to have a variation on the "oh, they all do that sir".

I couldn't be bothered to argue but I'll be pushing a lot harder when it gets closer to the end of the warranty period.

She rang me to say it was all done and they were just washing it for me, I said I'd rather you didn't and I could hear her shouting to the lads to put the hosepipe down laugh.

Oddly the Renault half of the dealer was full but not a single Dacia in the other half, it looked like they'd moved out. Sold everything apparently. I only actually saw one other Dacia, a Jogger getting PDI'd by the looks of it.

Is the rocky seat likely to become an issue at MOT time? I vaguely recall the security of the seats is on the testers list to check.

I've been looking at one of these for a runabout, does anyone have any information as to the reliability of the Tce over the dci? Will be looking at a 4x4 model, so it's either tce 150 or dci 115. Superficially reading on the internet, it seems the dci has some issues with adblue, dpf and the likes.

I haven't heard about any specific issues with the 130TCe, yet.

Special delivery today.

Michelin Cross Climate 2's. £98 a tyre, delivered which seems like a lot to me for 16 in rubber. My usual go to are Uniroyal Rainsports and the last time I bought some they were cheaper than that for 19in.

Date stamped within the last 2 months too. Just need some wheels to put them on.

Ordered them from Blackcircles with one of their promo offers, can't remember if it was £15 or £20 off per tyre. No comms regarding delivery though, just chance that I was in when they came.

I'll be chasing it up again long before then. Hopefully they'll replace the runners just to get rid of me.
