I have been meaning to get around to reading this thread after a few positive comments on other threads, and now that family have dissipated from the house to their own abodes, I've just done the entire thread in one hit. Amazing, and just as I'm nearing the end, thinking I wonder where it's at now, after reading about all these fabulous cars, I read the word "gullwing" cloud9

Your outlook on life and the energy (pun not intended but left in once I realised it was there) you put in to helping others is amazing.

Thank you, and I’m glad you left the pun in your comment, quite funny.
Added you on inst too.
Cheers
Pete

Hi everyone
Just thought I’d give you an update on the cars. My DB5 is currently being loaded up and will be with me tomorrow.
Due to the bad weather down south the 458 Aperta, M2 & LFA will be delivered in the new year. Here’s some classic Aston pictures to keep you entertained until the LFA arrives (apologies it’s taking so long, I think I started this thread a bit prematurely but it’ll soon be with me).
Cheers
Pete

Wow, what an amazing inspirational thread.
I rarely post, prefering to read threads and forums but your life journey to where you are today is incredible, and has made me rethink my outlook on certain things.
Your charity work and philanthropy has made me realise that I need to do more in 2018 to help others, so thank you for the inspiration.
I used to live not far from AE but now spend most of my time in Scotland. If you fancy trying the DB5 around GlenEtive, just like Bond in Skyfall, I’d be happy to entertain a road trip.
Thank you for the ‘add’ on instagram too. Great pictures, and choice in some lovely cars, especially the classic Aston’s...
You know what, I would love to do that journey. Fancy being my passenger/navigator? Say summer 2018!

Navigator in a DB5, how could I say no!

Life moves pretty fast, if you don’t stop and look around once in a while you could miss it. Hence I now fully understand why people say experiences matter more than material possessions.

As lovely as the DB5 is, Glen Etive and Rannoch Moor will be amazing in any car. It’s the experiences and memories that count. Feel free to PM me if you have a free day next year!
Well said Ferris, yeah I’ll message you. I’m always serious about the things I say, so if you want to take a trip around the highlands in a DB5 then that’s what we’ll do.

If there was ever an hour video to be done by Harry Metcalf it's you, your story and your collection.

All the best and thanks for sharing so much on here.
Cracking idea, someone point Harry to this thread and get it organised. Would be a fantastic viewing!
Dropped him a tweet with a link to this thread.

It would be awesome to see him interview Peter and review some of the collection!
I’m more than happy to do a short video on my cars, if we can tie it in with a charity event then that’d be even better. Get more people to notice.

Pete, there isn't enough "nice" in the world at the moment, but you are certainly doing your bit.
Hats off to you.

Had a good catch-up of this thread today, my birthday, and it's been a present in itself.

Thank you, and a happy and healthy 2018 to you and yours.

Pete.
Happy birthday for yesterday Pete, hope you had a great day.
Have a great 2018

Pete

Great thread Pete. Have also added you on Instagram (richatnort) would love to keep up to date with the garage updates.

Do you have any "I must have this car in 2018!" Thoughts yet?
Thank you, I’ve added you on instagram too. Please feel free to have a poke around my garage on instagram.

My 2018 cars are going to be
1) Porsche 991 GT2 RS
2) Ferrari 488 lightweight
3) The newest McLaren LT!!! Whatever guise that’ll take.

How about a Mclaren Senna, what do you think of that ?
Obviously it’s all personal preference but I think it looks awful. I’m sure it drives fantastic but it’s not all about performance. Look at the Gumpert Apollo, very fast but it looked like a Lego set hence why it didn’t sell well.

Could be wrong but I don't think the 7x0LT is coming until 2019. I think there's a 5x0 LT coming in 2018 though, which is going to be spectacular!
No I think you’re bang on, I’ve been told it’s the 570 version first (probably 600lt) then the 720 version after the convertible 720. Either way, should be interesting.

Just picked up on this thread & ended up reading from start to finish! Didn’t take me long to realise that you’re literally just around the corner; (recognised Steve’s RS) as well as all your fantastic cars that I see regularly passing by our front door.
Next time I see you, I’ll give you a wave
Cheers Graham.

Ah yes, with the beautiful red Macan too. Knock on next time you’re going past and have a poke around the DB5, she’s a beaut.

Can’t remember the whole thread, have you got a Carrera GT? If not, does it appeal? I think that even at the £600k they command at the mo they’re a future classic. That V10, Manual box etc and so pretty.

Also, considered one of the mega Ferraris? F40 or F50?

For me my dream collection would have to have an F50 and a CGT, just so you have the last Manual V10 and V12 in their respective ranges.
Yes he does, there is a video coming of the CGT & LFA revving off side by side cloud9
I sure do, and a rev off video will be coming soon.
I’ve also just ordered two new cars today, coming 2019.
One is the 570LT that I’m taking to MSO and replicating the 688HS version.
The other is a 488 that’s quite ‘special’ too haha.

A quick ‘move around’ before they head off to my storage unit. I wish it was sunny today, that 458SA is stunning in the sun.
