Any update? So as for rear subframe is it pretty much direct bolt on? Can you have more photos of the builds underside?
Apologies for the lack of updates. The car is just about to to be painted so there will be some more photos soon of progress. To answer your question re subframe, this is a straight swap as all E9x chassis are same.

Apologies as It's been a while since the last post but the car is now being stripped in preparation for it's respray. I've not been in a mega hurry as I have enjoying putting miles on my E92 M3 during the summer months and too many work commitments.
Anyway some photo's for now and more to follow.....
Removal of existing boot floor as it's going to be swapped over to the relevant M3 part.
Also there is a change of plan in terms of the colour that it's going to be painted (was going to be Jerez Black), however I'm not going to advise what it's going to be just yet......
Thanks.

BMW should do a factory M3 Touring, I reckon there's a market given the number of quick Audi estates and the new RS4 being an Avant only.
I suspect given how few E61 M5's were sold it won't ever be an option. I'd say there is a better chance of an M3 GT before a touring. GuyWMD said:

It seems odd really when the RS6 is relatively popular in Avant form and the standard 3 series is popular as a touring, I guess most M car buyers want coupes and saloons. Shame because fast estates are brilliant.Court_S said:
