Are you actually being serious?
I am.BradleyA said:
The standard bumper/bumpers are made of "multiple" parts and most of it heavy plastic trims and so on and more brackets that you can imagine, i am fairly comfident you probbaly have never stripped an R8 front or rear end and actually seen just how much plastic crap is hidden (not needed or can be changed)
FORTY FIVE KILOGRAMS? Each end?BradleyA said:
Without sounding pedantic, I am delighted with what I am saving and in my mind will help with my goals for the car.
The "Alloy" "crash Structure" is separate to the bumpers.
I am fitting a one piece carbon fibre bumpers which includes all mounts (also carbon), what’s more to explain?
So a photo of what you're removing, and what you're fitting, on a set of scales, will be fairly straightforward... Hell, you probably took one already. Tell you what, I'll even let you off having to include the custard tin.The "Alloy" "crash Structure" is separate to the bumpers.

I having a cheese and ham toastie for lunch, saved 0.1kg by not having mayo (chuffed).Anyways for those who enjoy the project, i shall update as things happen, for those with too much time on their hands i shall leave you to contribute somewhere else.
On another note, no pics of the "scrap parts" removed as i made this guy with them.

Exceptional, aha.
Bradley, good on you for doing something abit different, let's not forget the very commendable work you've done on this very thread previously, so ignore the naysayers; I for one would very much like to see how this all ends up. Hell, it's beats my Fiat Punto anyday.
