Those wheels suit the car so well. They are definitely the best ones you have had on IMO.

Even SWMBO likes them, so I guess they'll be staying around for while! hehe
You thread doesn't help me with deciding whether or not to buy my bro's old XC90, they are great looking cars and my wife is very keen, but I fear the bork!

bought a 3 year old one, added a warranty (£600) for 1st year, 2nd year (£400)

no other bills outside of servicing and tyres.

cheap motoring for me.

The one I am looking at is just over 10 years/120k miles old - no chance of a warrant for me - a lease one one of these looks attractive!

what are you selling them for?

I have one on mine - stripped from a crashed bumper cost me £90 for the whole bumper

NOW IS THE TIME TO GET YOUR BUMPERS PAINTED BTW.

cracking thread here, I've always loved the XC90 and will look to get one soon. I'm currently running a pug 4007 and this thread has given me the desire to give it a little more TLC than it currently gets bless her.

I went to Dusseldorf in the week too, heading to NL for a meeting but sadly my rented Mitsubishi was incapable of exceeding 101mph!

My Space Star managed over twice that, but VMAX was an awful lot slower...

I still have a set of raw plastic bumper cheeks and moustache - how much was the paint for the moustache?

wow, mine doesn't do any of this and its cresting 55k miles, perhaps not having the polestar conversion is allowing the components to be less stressed??

ooooh, just had my worst tank ever (mpg wise).

25.7mpg!

Ouch! (thatll teach me to Vmax on the AB!)
That's my average (long term) in the CX7. I have a 'thing' for big Volvo's too, but always suspected the mpg wasn't anything brill if you press on a bit.

Good thread still. Thanks for the honest approach to expenses.

When I tot up for the year end report in August, I think the running costs will be a bit of a shock, but thats the price you pay for running a big luxury car IMO.
The pence per mile will be interesting. Ignoring mpg, depreciation and road duty, those figures are where it gets to the nitty gritty.

And none of it matters a fig if you like driving it...

I'll stick some running costs in for mine too, currently servicing and extended warranty + tyres is all I'm paying for - happy chap!
