What an amazing build, I can only imagine the pictures really don't do it justice.
Your attention to detail is second to none. Just incredible, can not wait for the finished article

With those little turbo trumpets, which I adore by the way, is there not a risk of it sucking up crap? I've seen them in cars running open in the engine bay like this one appears to, with no filter over the end of the trumpet, that must suck up dust surely? And having found leaves in all sorts of funny places in my engine bays over the years, are they a risk too? What about driving in very heavy rain?
The risk is there obviously, people run them with a fine mesh over the front to stop the worst of it.

Just remember when people run ITB's open end!

Fantastic Work! Like others, I can't wait to see this in action. As mentioned before, it's great to see a Supra modified to such a high quality. bow

Good point, hence why we went with a large K&N filter as in the picture below. It doesn’t look as good as the trumpets though biggrin

Quite possibly my favorite car on here. Look forward to seeing this at a Sunday Service or Ace meet in the future

Looks so neat and tidy i wouldn't want to take it on the road. Also, whats the deal with the exhaust? Seems ones full length and the other half way, whats the reason for that?

One is a switchable screamer pipe for full on unrestricted flow/sound the other is for normal baffled driving

When the wastegate opens to limit boost the exhaust gas exits through the smaller pipe. There is a valve which routes the wastegate gas either through the full exhaust system, or straight to atmosphere. If it doesn't go through the silencers it makes a lot of noise, hence "screamer pipe".

would love to know what a rebuild budget like this needs to be. I don't want to be cheeky and ask how much you are spending, but if i wanted to do something similar with my mkiii supra and rebuild fairly claose to standard set up (ish) what ball park budget do you think i would need.....?

I have absolutely nothing to add other tan this makes my "modding" on my previous cars almost childish.....

Absolutely stunning, if I had the means to undertake a build like this, I would have definitely gone Supra too.... maybe an RX7 with an LS lump (wasn't there a build thread on here with one of these too?).

But i do have a massive love for the older Jap coupe turbo motors.
