It does look more racecar to me with the black wheels and chunky tyres.

It's much smoother and quieter, that's for sure!

Just remember I've new OEM brake lines in the garage that I need fitting...

But also the car is due a brake fluid service this year too...

Wondering whether to have the lines & fluid done by my pal; or get the fluid service done at BMW for the iDrive service update & then get my pal to swap the lines over and re-bleed/top up the fluid?!

Any thoughts?

IMO depends on how many 00000 entries you have on the iDrive already; several and I'd go with your mate, none or one and for the sake of an extra £70(?) I'd get those five magic numbers.

OTOH, could you please get bored of it soon; son #1 is actively looking for a F31 and yours is near perfect spec smile I'm getting spreadsheet overload.

When I'm made PM it'll be mandatory to show the Pro or Business satnav in the first picture...

There are a good few entries but they ended in 2018; have the paperwork for all the work in between, but as I've taken out warranty with BMW on the car for the 1st year; I think I'd like it up to date for peace of mind etc...

Then I'll get my pal to do the lines and re-bleed/top up etc

Oh, no... biggrin We've only just got the car and really enjoying it... Sorry; but this is a keeper wink

Booked in with Bowker BMW in Preston tomorrow to get the brake fluid service done and iDrive updated; they'll do it whilst I wait, so it'll be a good opportunity to walk the floor and look at cars I can't afford biggrin

They're going to do a full free health check too; fingers crossed they don't find anything!

Visited Bowker BMW in Preston today for a full brake fluid service and full health check....

A walk around the showroom offered these 2 stunning cars

E28 M5 with 4k miles and an M1

The visit also highlighted a few bits that are going to be sorted under warranty (I've got full comprehensive cover on the car for 12 months)

So front shock dust boots are being replaced alongside all bolts that'll need to be removed. The horn is intermittent, so that'll be fixed and the tailgate closing is intermittent also, so they'll investigate that and fix it once they sussed the niggle

It's back there on the 28th

F31 up on axle stands; all 4 winter wheels off, wheel arches snow foamed, scrubbed, rinsed and dried off/plastics treated

Summer Style 405Ms back on

Cars absolutely filthy; but temps have gone from -3ºC overnight and 1.5ºC during the day at the beginning of the week to 12.5ºC today!

It's the right time to move back to the summer wheels thumbup

Great looking car, you certainly keep it immaculate!

The weather is so weird here at the moment, warmed a bit but forecast for rain all next week.

Thanks pal; trying to keep it as clean as I can

First opportunity I've had to sort the wheel arches & glad I did. The level of crud coming out from the arches was interesting to say the least; least they're all clean now smile

And yes; it was bloody cold last week; heavy snow Thursday & Friday, cold but drier over the weekend and then heavy snow Monday & Tuesday; and now it's 12.5ºC and cloudy/raining laugh

The winters have done their duty; time to clean them off and store them until I buy another set; make a set of 18x8s out of them and then take them to my pal to be refurbed & fitted with new winter non RFTs

Full interior detail this morning; it's all about my broken body can take currently laugh

Carpets thoroughly hoovered, plastics and seat based/sides treated with APC solution and a detailing brush; all wiped down again and then carpets Autoglym Interior Shampoo'd and na stiff bristle brush attachment on for the cordless drill did the hard work.

All wiped down again, re-hoovered and then mats hoovered and brushed, makes my OCD very happy biggrin

All leather wiped down and treated with Megs Leather Conditioner; interior hard surfaces wiped down with AGs Vinyl & Rubber care as it dries matte and doesn't leave any residue wink

Cheers pal - and not a lazy git; just everyones different and I also needed to get out of the house. Can't do much currently (desperate to get into the garden); but that'll have to wait!

Yes it is; it's nice to know that you've deep cleaned it and you're not sitting in someone else's dirt & grime hurlbiggrin The carpets were fairly clean TBH; the car was valeted fairly well before we collected the car; but now I've done that process (albeit with more care and time taken), it gives me peace of mind and all that etc smile

Once I've got the car back from BMW; my pals going to sort out a few bits at his bodyshop & then the car and get a full exterior detail
