Ooh my days that's a bloody awesome sight. Must admit I thought it was a dead project at one point, I'm so very glad to be wrong!

This has to be one of the best things about 2021 so far. Not stiff competition admittedly, but all the same, that is in its own league of awesome.

I can’t wait to see the trackday footage.

Wow , Thank you guys all so much for the great comments, I’m glad you all like it , there’s lots more work to do but in the great scheme of things the end is closer than the beginning, these two pics are in the same place 6 years apart but in 5 of those very very little was done on it , I’ll try to make 2021 the year it all comes together

Can't remember if you'd said, but this is road legal, right?

I need a taxi from, er, somewhere to somewhere else. At speed. I'd pay handsomely too - I'm loving this.

Cars like this are wayyyy more fun and interesting than "look at my spec'd up M3 HF Evo Quattro" biggrin

Must admit I think the original LS400 DHP wheels look rather good on it.

I love this build. Totally bonkers and it makes me so happy. It looks incredible and the engineering that has gone into is stunning. Well done.

Espace is FWD, Lexus V8s are RWD, are you going to go for a mid mount? If so, you could always leave the front engine in...
Proper thinking, what could go wrong???

V small update , so another Le Mans has come and gone - and the car was still not there , I’ve bought some new engine parts recently , a few general service items and a new power steering pump , as the old one had become so noisy . Started fitting them last night and hoping to get a good long weekend working on it this bank holiday weekend. My Work has been so busy that the car has sat neglected for a few months but hoping that is about to change and now (ahem)(fingers crossed) 2022 can be THE year it’s used on the road (and go to Le Mans lol)

New v old

I had some hilarious ignition issues on a 1UZ-FE, so worth doing!

Anything else planned for the weekend of fettling?

Probs already been said, but you are a proper (e)space cadet op! Loving your work. I'll be the odd one out and say I prefer it on the 5 spokes.

I don't think I can choose which wheels I like best, they both suit it!
So glad its still ongoing, have been following for years hoping it will get on the road one day

Le mans journey or not getting the vehicle completed is the achievement IMHO. A road trip would be the icing on the cake!

It should be allowed to do an exhibition lap of the track!
