All new bits are now fitted and the engine is running sweet again , here is a quick Espace v Lexspace under the bonnet comparison

Ooof, getting rid of those safety messages across the slam panel is going to really affect the resale value you know, should have kept it OEM hehe

That looks more OEM than the OEM! Chapeau!

Thank you for the praise

This is where the next challenge starts - the interior

nice, but indeed, seat in the middle means, one pedal on the right and one on the left side of the console (if its a automatic).
or like a paralympisch all 'pedals' on/around the steering wheel ;-)

The original Espace design was really good for the time. Back when the French had a bit of flair and didn't produce the drivel they do these days.

or you could argue like a go-kart, but at least he gets to rest his huge testicles on the transmission tunnel.

Without wanting to derail the discussion - you seen or heard of slingshot dragsters?

Not only was the engine in front of the driver, but his arse was just behing the axle, with legs bent and the half shafts beneath the knees, or legs straight and halfshafts above the knees.

If the diff/axle gave up and the housing decided to explode it took out the lower half of the driver simultaneously. Not to mention a face full of exhaust and fuel/fire/exploding engine if anything went wrong that end.

Some folk with death wishes still race these things...

Aaaaanyway.... back to the lexspace. Moar please as you can.

So I realise it’s been a while since I posted anything, that’s mainly because of work commitments but little bits have still been done and still slowly moving forward , I have been finishing off some hidden interior parts and have a lot of sound deadening and heat proofing material to add soon , I’m hoping to get things moving forward more on the interior in the next few weeks .
I have also been adding photos to an Instagram page for those interested in this cars progress , lexspace2012 on instagram for anyone interested in seeing them

Lots of work has been completed recently, and a lot of it will never be seen , a lot of wiring has been tidied up and fixed in place and a lot of heat proofing and sound deadening has been added and I’ve started to reupholster some interior parts , these door trims for example have been re-covered with black Alcantara instead of the original worn out blue material

I’ve also updated the throttle pedal , by adding this pad onto it

Which I then shotblasted to give a better finish

And used the part marking “laser” (said in a dr evil voice) at work to make it look a little special

Once some carpet is added on all the surfaces , the pedal should stand out nicely

Merry Christmas everyone

Superb pedal, although it looks like it is lacking some mashing, but trust that will be taken care of soon. Thanks for the Christmas update, the alcantara looks superb.
