The Bomber... Just another Impreza?

Y'see, if they were all to this standard I'd have more time for them.
Those I see are typically boy racer/barry boy types held together with good intentions and gaffer tape with massive drainpipe exhausts.
Top marks - well done that man.
Unfortunately you're not wrong. Those I see are typically boy racer/barry boy types held together with good intentions and gaffer tape with massive drainpipe exhausts.

They have become a victim of the ultimate performance bargain. The market is flooded with cheap rubbish parts from the Far East and bolt on tat is aplenty.
They're pennies to buy but not pennies to run and modify properly.
Maybe one day (probably when I'm about 90) the good ones will be worth some money? Lol.
You've built one of the only Imprezas I have ever liked. I feel a lot of people could learn from what you've done and the method you've chosen to go about it. I love that the car is precisely the dream of what an Impreza can be. Please keep going.
Please keep humbling the exotica in the way you do, it makes great TV!
One other thing I particularly liked about the thread you mentioned - you own this car outright and won't ever buy it unless you can afford it. Good on you, excellent example!

All new prototype Intake ducts are well underway. Still got a way to go to get the angles just right but it's getting there. They're much much bigger than the previous intakes and should feed the oil cooler and wing box far more efficiently.
Should look pretty aggressive too.
Sorry for the rubbish photos, it was getting dark.

Something that's been bugging me a while is that the Syvecs calibration switch comes with a numbered sticker.
This sticker eventually starts to peel, or if like me you want to move the rotary switch, you need another sticker.
Today I made up a small brushed stainless plaque and laser etched the numbers on.
I didn't bother writing a program for it, or punching out the disc as it would bend. I just done it by hand but I think it's come out pretty damn well.
Even etched Syvecs on the bottom...
