A Third Retro German (964 Turbo)
Discussion
Glad the decals have gone down well. Wasn't sure before we put them on but I think they finish the car off a treat
On a purely subjective level, I think it's got to be more than 350bhp at the crank. I say this because the Mustang I had was 300bhp/tonne and the 964 blows it out of the water in straight line speed. At 350bhp the 964 would only have 280bhp/tonne which just doesn't feel right given the performance difference to the Mustang.

I cannot read this thread without a massive feeling of jealousy overwhelming me, followed by a swift exit over to the classifieds.
That car is utterly gorgeous .... Can I be top of the list for first refusal when it comes up for sale?

Benny was it you that had Ryan tune a Solaris (I keep forgetting its new name) for the 964T?
No, not me.Vixpy1 said:
Just seen this..
IT of 240 degrees, which means the probe has come unplugged.. That would be 1.5% correction. So bassically 50% added on.
Yeah, the whole thing is completely cock eyed. The car had been on the dyno for several runs before this one, cooled with the usual moveable fan to the front, so not good for a 964 turbo.....and obviously the IT probe sat in a cup of coffee. The general consensus from the air cooled experts in the Porsche section is that the car is probably around 430bhp with the mods we have. We're currently at 1bar but I don't want to crank it up until we have the fuelling sorted properly.IT of 240 degrees, which means the probe has come unplugged.. That would be 1.5% correction. Had the 964 out on track for the first time at the start of the month. Great fun and very quick, but it's going to take a while to learn how to drive it properly. It's a bit of a beast
We had a minor oil leak from a loose hose, but apart from that it was trouble free day

Maybe just the pics but has your exhaust taken a knock?
Car looks fantastic though, very nice
The centre bracket holding the two sections together is a little loose, so the left hand side tail pipe keeps dropping slightly. I need to nip it up or get a new one if it wont tighten.Car looks fantastic though, very nice

who did the photo's?
It was an outfit called Trackphoto if I remember right.Took a few new pictures yesterday, with the car still in it's Le Mans Classic guise The car was given a good going over by Frances from Emerald Detailing at the Tipec meet a few months back, so it's particularly shiny
