Out of interest what was it about the AMV12V, I drove a chums DBS and it felt so dam odd, it was very heavy over the nose but the front track didn't feel like it was correct to the car, I could still feel the tyres skipping in the passenger seat as well.
The tyre skip is just due to the width and Ackerman steering geo. Basically it's compromised in low speed tight turns in order to be better everywhere else. Its Just Adz said:

Was it a TDF blue rhd one by any chance?
Yes that's the bugger. I've a couple of pics somewhere, it was stunning. I actually went in that day to see the silver F50 they had so the 250 was a nice surprise.

Yeah I’m very tempted by that one, I like the SWB more than the California but that particular SWB is a steel body car, I’d be buying it because it’s somewhat ‘affordable’ for me however I know I’d always pine for the alloy body version.
Talking of 250 SWB's, Carugati in Geneva have two in their showroom. 2manycars said:

What's with the weird bumpers on the grey one ?
Never seen one like that.
And the weird bonnet scoop on the red one. Never seen one like that.

Apart from the DB5, what are the other cars you've either bought and hated or test drove and hated.
My Aston AMV12S, Aston Zagato, Aston Rapide, DB2/4. Pretty much all the Aston’s. Maserati Granturismo
Mk2 Golf GTI 8v
Interesting what you say about Aston’s...I met a bloke who worked for one of the high end classic dealers, invited me to their “premises” and showed me round. They had a DB4 GT thy was up for close to £5mil....he said it wasn’t a great drive and much preferred the E-type as a drivers car to the Aston’s of that era.
I’ve never driven an Aston, had a real thing for the previous DBS for a while.
The DB4 GT must have been a Zagato because they’re no way near worth £5m.
Yeah the DBS is a terrible car too, proper nose heavy.
