Had a Lamborghini Urus year past me this morning in the way to work, sounded absolutely beautiful. Did you consider this when you got your Bentayga Pete, or did your dislike for Lamborghini write it off straight away? Was it Bentley all the way?
Yeah I like the Urus, we tried to get one before the Bentayga but they hadn’t been released by then.
Now I’ve seen a fair few on the road, I must say I think they’ll age quite quickly. Can’t wait for Ferrari’s SUV.
Theres a few in Edinburgh that I've seen and I can't get over how theres not a line on it that looks correct, I mean I know they started out building tractors but I've come to term it the Aventotractoro.

Pete, any love for the 575 HGTC. A friend of mine used to own a manual 575 Fiorano and it was a wonderful car. One of my all time fav's, such a lovely car to look at aswell, at least with these eyes.
One of my absolute favourites, I’m trying to find a rhd manual SuperAmerica. I love the 575m

I’ve still got the AMV12S, literally took delivery of it. Drove it and stuck it away forever. Yes I know I could sell it but I really like the colour. I think it’s got a total of 44 miles on the clock. It’s just a really underwhelming car, all noise and very little in the way of performance.
This really upsets me, for as long as I can remember I've loved the V12S and the DBS (drove a DBS on a supercar experience day and was completely blown away and smitten, my only driving experience prior to this was my MK1 MX5 and my old celica 140) both would be my first 2 purchases should a lottery win ever happen or some rich uncle I don't know about pops it!

The V12S would be the same colour as yours and the DBS would be pearl white with red interior accents
Yeah, but, remember that Pete is coming from a very different point of view, obviously I respect the opinion and its an interesting insight but he has had vast experience of hundreds of spectacular motors and most of us dont, I get that in that company it doesn't compete but for the rest of us its still a very nice car.

Still wouldn't buy one though, I love how Astons look but for some reason they dont grab me, they arent really in the Ferrari/Lambo realm, sort of straddle a niche between Jags and more exotic stuff.

One thing I would suggest that the tip about the 500 695 is a great one for those on a tighter budget, ok, they are still pricey and would drive you batst day to day, but the normal ones are great as well, local car spares shop has had one for sale for ages, £5995 I think it is, 09 plate, looks ace.

I was talking to the chap in our local tyre place when getting an MOT and I clocked him going to his car, an M135i so I asked him about it as I was looking for mine at the time, he said he quite likes it but he was missing his previous car, a Fiat 500 Abarth which he had modified extensively mechanically, the BMW was faster but a boring pudding in comparison and he was yearning to get back in a 500 Abarth.

We looked at one for the missus with some weird gearbox but it was too expensive and like driving an excitable Jack Russell which has had a insanity sauce smeared on its bum.

So, sod Astons, get a 500 Abarth, a normal one and spend a couple of grand on modding it.

Pete, you eve had an original 500 ? we have had two (wifes idea) quite good fun but bloody hard work, well the ropey ones we bought were.
There is so much of your reply that I agree with.
No never had an original 500, it’s not my thing. I love small cars if they are fun and fast. The original 500 was just a cheap (supposedly) reliable car for the masses, not my idea of fun.

Yeah it’s like a badly folded Origami jeep, but I kind of like it though.

No he’s still in America filming Masterchef or just generally shouting at people in his kitchen.

Was thinking more one of the original Abarths, they are fun, and less slow, couldnt call them fast.
