In a strange sort of way it's quite interesting to see it how it is.

Gives some idea of how they were put together.

No idea on the bonding but it's had 18yrs to collect grime behind them biggrin

Prices have certainly got silly, as they have on many cars.

Bits now into paint.

Getting it back is getting closer.

I like the look of the alterations to the rear bumper ( in the RH corner )

Almost there.

All that remains to do is to fit wheel studs instead of bolts, re-fit the rear spoiler and for the wrap to go back on.

Exhaust sorted, with the exit pipes going from 1.75" to 3" dia there wasn't the room to fit exhaust tips. No worries there though as with the pipework being the size it is there isn't any need for them.

In for its wrap next week then, after 4 months away, it'll be back home!

Quite often I looked at the back end and wondered how it'd look with all on show. Most of the Trophy cars ran like that and fancied the idea. It's a Marmite thing but I always thought the car looked a bit soft on the back end.

One thing that stopped me was the potential costs however, once the back end had been quite badly damaged I decided that was the time to go for it. The rear bumper was only being held together by the wrap so needed extensive repairs and the exhaust was a bit out of shape. So whilst they were being repaired they may as well be sorted.

Had a few chats with Scott at SGMotorsport and this is how it turned out.

Another bonus is that it now sounds as mad as it looks.

Car came back and has been in the detailers for a couple of weeks for ceramic coating to body and wheels and also for him to apply the decals.

A few detail changes on the decals....a huge nod to Scott for pulling it all together, no tyre decals as have 2 sets of Cromodoras...silver fitted with Michelins and yellow fitted with Yokos so with no tyre decals on the car I can chop and change the wheels at a whim.

Some of the old decals had some fine detail on them and keeping the edges down was becoming a pain...Telefonica for example.

Anyhow, even ifI can't use it it's nice to have it finished and home.
