My Lotus Evora 400 & Video Diary

Glad to be of service Alex. I would say the Auto definitely wouldn't get in the way of your enjoyment of the car, and the harder it's driven the better the box is. But I can only drive it so much and show it on camera!
Yesterday I took the car back to the Lotus factory, I spent some time in the Team Classic Lotus workshop. They have a liberal photography policy. Anyone fancy seeing some more of these snaps?

You're doing far more than anyone else when it comes to getting information about the 400 out there!Yesterday I took the car back to the Lotus factory, I spent some time in the Team Classic Lotus workshop. They have a liberal photography policy. Anyone fancy seeing some more of these snaps?
I'm guessing the second bit was a rhetorical question?

I wonder why the rev counter has been rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise in that last photo?
So the driver can easily see the redline (so to speak). Very common on older race cars. Many also have a hand written sticker at a hi rev point on the rev counter that says "BANG"jayemm89 said:
I'm heading off to Spa this weekend for the Biker's Classic event. Hopefully will have some nice photos and videos upon my return.
I've also signed up for a rally taking place in July - the "Ace Rally". I met the organiser at a PH meet.

I think my last post got mangled but just to say, great thread, still following here an on YT with interest.
Drove a new Exige Sport 350 the other day, loved it, although it was a bit tight inside.. then sat in an Evora 400 in the showroom and it felt a lot more spacious than the Exige and I think it's a bit more suitable for me... that's before I have even driven it. My man maths is being tested to the absolute maximum right now.
Cheers,
Grant

Do it Grant! Apparently the 400 is just as quick around Hethel as an Exige, but I think the Exige should still be quicker with a mortal driving, really.
Speaking of which, I managed to get out on track - at Hethel. I found a track day where they were doing passenger rides in a 400 as part of the proceedings so I pointed out they couldn't have a problem with the car's noise level and they agreed.

I'd drive both. The DNA may be the same but the Exige and Evora are very different propositions and only you can tell which will work for you (and the usage may well determine that). Cheers,

It goes without saying that if you require more space there may be only one answer in any event.

Well, PH can't exactly say I don't do my bit for them. Here's my car at the Kimbolton show last week. Photo thanks to Gretchen.
One thing to note is in many photos the car appears really orange, but it's actually quite a pale yellow in the flesh. When the sun starts to go down it becomes a little bit orange-y, but otherwise it's very much yellow!
