I've bought a little GPS unit called Dragy. Most tests say it's close enough to VBOX but at less than half the price I thought I'd try it.

Finding it hard to find decent, factual data on some cars I'd like to bench it against. 0-125 MPH (0-200KM/H) in 10.78 or 10.55 with 1ft rollout seems pretty solid for a 2,400kg rig.

Worth noting, with refinement to the tune the actual 0-100 (62MPH) isn't that much quicker than stock (2/10ths) but it just hauls from there. Off to the official 1/4 mile tomorrow night to finish off these Pirelli's and then onto some decent PS4 Michellins which should net 0.1-0.2 in the 1/4 mile.

Contemplating whether to get a set of 20" drag radials to really get some hook.

Got these fitted today. The weight difference is astonishing.

Also added a few bits to the powerhouse. Oil catch can being the main one.

New supersports seem to be working, knocked a 1/10th off the ET in warmer ambient temps. Off to the track on Saturday to confirm. I'll also be adding some race fuel for some extra power as we can increase timing which generates more heat.

Given the ridiculous cost of race fuel compared to the States, I'm converting to E85 for race days. New injectors and a boost a pump should add a further 50-75 BHP for race days. Tipping $500 for 40L of MS109 is simply daft when the cost of new injectors and the BAP are just over $2,300.

Also ordered a set of forgestar 20" lightweight wheels and will be receiving them some time in February and a set of Mickey Thompson Street ETs will be going on. They should provide strong traction and I'll be watching closely how long the rear end lasts.

Epic, keep up the good work man!

If the rear end hold up what do you reckon you'll see? Low to mid 10s?

It should be good for very deep 10s as a few guys are heading into the 9s with stock driveshafts and axles.

I know of one failure of the rear axle but that is due to him fitting 17" weld rear wheels and M/T slicks and simply generating too much grip.

I'll wait and see what the 20" drag radials do and the lower pulley combined with E85 and then assess goals from there.

Super cool temps for summer at the moment, 22c tonight (71F) and a cool breeze. I'm heading to the track tomorrow night as it's going to be similar conditions and it'll be my best chance for a few months to get my new PB.

So I went for a test run and nailed some PBs. Attached are the performance pages results (ignore the 60ft time that was set whilst wheelspinning like crazy on old tyres).

Attached are the dragy GPS results also for the 1/4 mile and 0-130 mph. I think what I'm most pleased with is how much more effective the Michelin super sports are and the 60-130mph time of 8.58s. This compares favourably to the Urus that Brooks recently tested and even the tuned one. Hoping the switch to E85 will net another tenth or two. Roll on tomorrow night!

I managed to achieve the 10 second barrier at the track to make it official despite less than ideal track conditions.

My tuner is adamant that the simple switch to E85 (bigger injectors and a boost a pump) will net a further 0.1-0.2 off the E.T. Add in the stickier Mickey Thompson's coming in February and I'll be looking at a 10.6x car. And then I can look forward to cooler conditions in the autumn and winter to get a sub 10.5x time. Hugely impressed with it and can't wait to keep pushing.

And here's a hot start up with valves open. Videos don't ever do it justice but it sounds mean.

And to finish, probably the best pic I've seen of the Jeep:

I've just read the whole thread - incredible!

I (think) that I remember you from your Cliosport days too? Dubai182? My username on there was/is Christopher. Apologies if I've just completely confused you, but I figured there are not many 182s in Dubai!

Love the way this is going, keep it up!

Must be amusing being able to blitz pretty much anything from the lights, very few will know what it is and will anticipate it being a big, not that fast American SUV.

Installed some 1300cc injectors today in anticipation of adding E85 for race days.

Pretty straightforward job and enjoyed tinkering with the car, even if my wife had to solve the mystery of getting the injector out of the harness biggrin

The performance available on this car keeps on surprising. The switch to E85 has resulted in some pretty quick times.

Back in November i posted a 0-200 km/h run in 10.78 seconds. This was achieved in 28c heat. 9/10ths is a pretty big gain for just a fuel change.

Next up is time to start playing with some pulleys.

At this rate you'll be able to put satellites into low-earth orbit. Did you ever get any video of the speed / noise?

When you turn up to an Ozzie rally. "That's not a car... this is a car"

You are nuts in a good way. More street videos, please!

It's on my list to work on.

Here's a poor video (instagram shreds the quality) from some roll racing on Saturday:

And here's one beating a stock GTR. I knew I'd win but impressed at the distance. Love the whine too.

Shows that you cant just judge a cars performance on its power/weight ratio.

My Impreza is about 390 bhp/t and is nowhere near the performance of your Jeep which standard has a pwr of about 285bhp/t, you should be at 950+bhp to have the same pwr as me.

Im running reliable 12 sec 1/4 at about 115mph, lose a lot of time with my gearbox though. Best I would be looking at with a really good launch and fast shifts would be mid to high 11s

Here's a cool timelapse of a Dodge Demon engine getting built by hand. The supercharger is a beast.

I've been without the hawk for 4 and a bit weeks. It's been down in Sydney getting a pretty unique expansion tank made for the chiller system. The chiller has also been upgraded to a stage 2 pack and with the extra 20l from the tank, I'll have approx 35l of coolant flying round the car keep temps extremely low. We've used over 24m of -AN16 braided hose and to get that much hose underneath the car routing it from back to front and then back has been a tricky job.

We're expecting coolant temps to be around -10/-15c and around 0/5c post 1/4 mile or 1/2 mile run. These extra cold temps will allow us to sneak up on some timing and add further power.

Also being fitted is a 10% ATI lower pulley, blower spacer plates and a thermal blanket to reject some heat.

And finally, my 20" BC Forged wheels arrive next Friday and it'll be off to the strip to try and crack a sub 10.5 1/4 mile. Hoping for a 10.4x.

From there, I'll have a think if I want to chase the 9s.
